‘Language Study Before It‘s Too Late - Shalla Shalla’ will open the door to JTBC entertainment in 2025.

JTBC’s ‘Language Study Before It‘s Too Late - Shalla Shalla’ (abbreviated as ‘Shalla Shalla’), which will be aired for the first time on the 5th, is a new entertainment program that contains the ups and downs of ‘free talking’ challenges of five actors who went on a language study trip to the UK.

‘Shalla Shalla’ will feature South Korea’s representative actors Sung Dong-il, Kim Kwang-gyu, Um Ki-joon, Jang Hyuk, and Shin Seung-hwan, and they will set off for the UK, the birthplace of English. These people, who have embarked on a language training program without any help for the first time in their lives, show an extreme journey where nothing is easy, from advance preparations, finding a roommate, language training life, and even a ‘just for us’ free trip. In addition, the members, who have entered their second school days through language school life, plan to enjoy a pleasant campus life for the first time in decades.

The teaser video released on the 8th ahead of the first broadcast shows the members going on a language training program to England. While the directing is reminiscent of New Jeans‘ ’Ditto‘ music video, Sung Dong-il, Um Ki-joon, Jang Hyuk, Kim Kwang-gyu, and Shin Seung-hwan transform into late-blooming students, even wearing baseball jackets. Expectations are high for their chemistry, which is not easily seen in entertainment programs, and the realistic period of adaptation to life in England that the members, with an average age of 51.8, will show.

The production team said, “We realistically captured the journey of the members, who have long been recognized as actors with solid acting skills, to dive into learning English before it’s too late,” and “Through the members‘ struggles to realize their dream of ‘free talking’ in an unfamiliar England, you will be able to catch a glimpse of their human charm and special chemistry that has not been revealed on TV so far.”

‘Shalala’ will first air at 10:20 p.m. on February 5.
