The three head to the Daechi-dong Apartment Complex Shopping Mall located right in front of Daechi Station. Completed in 1979, it is one of the first-generation apartment complexes in Gangnam. Kim Sook and Seung-hee, who discovered a floor guide at the entrance to the shopping mall, say, “It‘s like a department store. The shops are packed tightly together.””The third floor is full of academies.” To this, Song Jin-woo, a local who lived in the apartment complex, says, “The underground shopping mall is the most famous. It’s full of food, so you‘ll want to keep stopping.”

Completed in 1976, this is the first-generation Gangnam apartment complex, distributed from 1 to 14, with 6,300 households living there. Kim Sook introduces it as “Apgujeong-dong is the only district in Korea where all the houses are apartments,” and confesses, “I had a chance to sign a contract for this apartment in the past, but I missed them all.”

With the help of a real estate agent who is friendly with Kim Sook, the three of them tour the interior of the apartment. As they enter the front door, the three of them are speechless at the view of the Han River beyond the spacious living room. Kim Sook introduces it as “the best view of the Han River in ‘Homes.’ You can see Namsan Tower, Bukhansan Mountain, Hannam Bridge, Dongho Bridge, and Seongsu Bridge.” About 20 years ago, the interior of the apartment, which was partially remodeled, boasts the most beautiful view ever, with the old sensibility intact.
