Actors Kim Da-mi, Shin Ye-eun, and Heo Nam-joon have been cast in the new JTBC drama ‘One Hundred Memories’ (written by Yang Hee-seung and directed by Kim Sang-ho).

‘One Hundred Memories’ is a newtro youth melodrama that depicts the shining friendship between Yeong-rye and Jong-hee, the guide girls of Bus No. 100 in the 1980s, and their heartbreaking first love surrounding the fateful man, Jae-pil. It will deliver laughter, fun, empathy, and emotion through the brilliant yet bittersweet youth of three people who are just starting to grow up, and will summon each person‘s own memories of that time that were shabby but unforgettable and sparkling. ‘One Hundred Memories’ is the new work of writer Yang Hee-seung, who also wrote ‘Ilta Scandal’, ‘Once Again’, ‘Famous Wife’, ‘Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo’, and ‘Oh My Ghostess’. ‘Thirty, Nine’ will be directed by Kim Sang-ho. It stars Kim Da-mi, Shin Ye-eun, and Heo Nam-joon.

Kim Da-mi, who has returned to the small screen after a long time since ‘That Year, Us’, plays the role of ‘Go Yeong-rye’, a model guide on Cheong-A Transportation Bus No. 100. Despite suffering from motion sickness, Yeong-rye rides the bus every day to help her mother make a living, and is the ‘K-eldest daughter’ who runs toward her dream of going to college. On the surface, she is honest, smart, and sensitive, but once she turns, no one can stop her. She is a ‘Eun-tto’ (a subtle crazy person) who is scarier than a real ‘Ttorai’ as she will chase down passengers who don’t pay their fares and get them to the ends of the earth. Kim Da-mi, who has built her own unique acting world, is drawing attention to what kind of face she will bring to the shining era of youth this time.

Shin Ye-eun, who left a strong impression in various works such as ‘Retirement’, ‘The Glory’, plays ‘Seo Jong-hee’. In the drama, Seo Jong-hee is a charming, lively, and natural-born ‘girl crush’ bus guide who appeared at Cheong-a Unsu like a comet. She dreams of escaping from an unfortunate family environment and settles down at Cheong-a Unsu, where she meets her lifelong ‘best friend’, Yeong-rye, and they build a shining friendship. The character, who has the confident and bold ‘spunky’ charm of a refreshing soda, is expected to show the charm of Shin Ye-eun.

Heo Nam-joon plays Yeong-rye and Jong-hee‘s fateful first love, ‘Han Jae-pil’. Born with a silver spoon in his mouth as the son of a department store owner, he looks like a rich kid at first glance and is called the ‘Prince on a White Horse’ among his classmates. Unlike his handsome exterior, he is actually full of wounds and is going through a rough time. Heo Nam-joon is expected to maximize his unique charm by displaying a rebellious spirit comparable to ‘James Dean’.

The production team said, “Trendy youth actors Kim Da-mi, Shin Ye-eun, and Heo Nam-joon have come together for ‘A Hundred Memories’. They will load up on the bright and cheerful fuel of youth and take viewers on the 1980s youth train”, adding, “Even as times change, the youth who do not lose their dreams and hopes amidst the weight and hardships of life still shine brightly. “I will come up with a work that both the middle-aged generation who lived through that era and the youth generation who are living in this era can watch and laugh and cry together. Please look forward to it,” he said.

‘A Hundred Memories’ will be broadcast on JTBC.
