MBC‘s new Friday-Saturday drama ‘Motel California’, the thrilling one-night stand between ‘first love couple’ Lee Se-young and Na In-woo, is drawing attention.

MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama ‘Motel California’ (planned by Jang Jae-hoon/directed by Kim Hyung-min, Lee Jae-jin/written by Lee Seo-yoon/produced by HB Entertainment/hereafter ‘Motel Cali’), which will be aired for the first time on the 10th (Friday), is a first love remodeling romance about a woman who was born and raised in a motel in the countryside and reunites with her first love in her hometown she ran away from 12 years ago. Based on the popular novel ‘Home, Bitter Home’ by Sim Yoon-seo in 2019, the drama stars Lee Se-young (as Ji Kang-hee), the ‘trustworthy romance master’ who has built an undefeated MBC box office record with ‘The Red End of the Sleeves’ and ‘The Tale of the Chaste Lady Park‘s Contract Marriage’, and Na In-woo (as Cheon Yeon-soo), who has captured the hearts of women through ‘The River Where the Moon Rises’ and ‘Marry My Husband’, raising expectations.



Lee Se-young plays the role of ‘Ji Kang-hee’, an interior designer who has lived a difficult life due to her unusual background of ‘a country motel is her home’ and her striking appearance, while Na In-woo plays the role of a large animal veterinarian who is the number one son-in-law of the owners of the Hana-eup farm. Assuming the role of ‘Cheon Yeon-su’, they will act as a first love couple with a 23-year story, and are expected to create a ‘first love romance fever’ in New Year’s living rooms.

In the meantime, ‘Motel Cali’ has released a still cut of the main characters Kang-hee and Yeon-soo spending their first night together at the age of 20 12 years ago, foreshadowing a sweet and sassy development from the first episode. In the released still cut, Kang-hee and Yeon-soo are alone in a dark room. Through the clothes hanging on the wall and the cute items filling the room, we can guess that this is a guest room at Motel California and Kang-hee‘s room.

What catches the eye the most is the tension flowing between Kang-hee and Yeon-soo. Yeon-soo is sitting on Kang-hee’s bed, and Kang-hee is sitting on Yeon-soo‘s lap, and the eye contact they make creates a suffocating tension. Soon after, Kang-hee carefully grabs Yeon-soo’s scarf and slowly approaches her to kiss her. Yeon-soo, who was nervous and didn‘t know what to do, also closes her eyes and focuses on Kang-hee’s kiss, making the viewers‘ hearts flutter. People are curious about how the exciting night of Kang-hee and Yeon-soo, who just turned 20, will be portrayed in the show, and keen interest is focused on the first episode of ‘Motel California’.
