It heralds the birth of a captivating drama that will fill the living room theater with fierce desire.

In the meantime, the script reading site that announced the lively sortie of ‘Treasure Island’ on January 9 has been revealed. On this day, writer Lee Myung-hee, director Jin Chang-gyu, the production team, and actors Park Hyung-sik, Heo Jun-ho, Lee Hae-young, Hong Hwa-yeon, Woo Hyun, Kim Jung-nan, Do Ji-won, and Kwon Soo-hyun were present on site. The breathtakingly fast-paced story presented an extremely immersive experience, and the actors’ all-out acting heated up the reading scene.

First, Park Hyung-sik‘s passionate acting, leading ‘Treasure Island’, stood out. Park Hyung-sik played the role of Seo Dong-joo, the head of the external cooperation team at the Daesan Group Chairman’s Office. Seo Dong-joo is a character full of meticulous ambition. Park Hyung-sik captured the character‘s coolness and intensity with outstanding concentration and a wide range of expressiveness. The on-site staff could not hide their surprise at Park Hyung-sik’s acting, which had changed even in his appearance, speech, and gaze as if he had already completed a thorough character analysis. Park Hyung-sik, who will transform into a dark and ambitious man who is 180 degrees different from his existing image, is drawing attention.

Heo Jun-ho, who has foreshadowed an unprecedented villainous performance, also had a strong presence. Heo Jun-ho plays Yeom Jang-seon, a former director of the National Intelligence Service and a professor emeritus at a law school who controls Kingmaker from behind the scenes. With his unreadable facial expressions, dazzling eyes, and clear diction, Heo Jun-ho delivered acting that pierced the hearts of everyone on set. Above all, the powerful acting chemistry between Park Hyung-sik and Heo Jun-ho that transcended their ages evoked admiration. The two actors repeatedly confronted and antagonized each other in the stormy story, creating tension throughout the play. It was a time when the two actors, who raise expectations even when seen individually, properly proved how powerful the synergy would be when they met in one work.

Also, Lee Hae-young, who played the role of Daesan Energy CEO Heo Il-do, stood out with his quiet yet intense charisma. Lee Hae-young perfectly captured the characteristics of Heo Il-do, who seems emotionless but shows ambition that surges from moment to moment. Hong Hwa-yeon, who was also unexpectedly cast as the lead, caught everyone‘s attention by portraying the diverse charms of the character of Yeo Eun-nam, whom she played, with energy and passion that made it hard to believe she was a rookie.

Writer Lee Myung-hee and director Jin Chang-gyu consulted with the actors scene by scene and made detailed efforts to achieve a high level of perfection. Thanks to the actors and production crew who showed such perfect and strong chemistry from the script reading, the anticipation for the actual broadcast of ‘Treasure Island’ has skyrocketed.
