The Netflix series ‘Trauma Center’ has released character stills, drawing attention.
The Netflix series ‘Trauma Center’, which will be released on Friday, January 24, tells the exhilarating story of Baek Kang-hyuk (Joo Ji-hoon), a genius surgeon who has been active on the battlefield, who is assigned to revive the ineffective trauma team. The relentless running and exhilarating performance of the trauma team, who run without regard for water or fire to protect the patients‘ golden time, is expected to provide thrilling pleasure.
Amidst the buzz surrounding the previously unveiled teaser poster and trailer, the character stills released today raise expectations for the relentless performance of ‘Team Severe’. First, the unique aura of the genius surgeon ‘Baek Kang-hyuk’, who does not yield to injustice, catches the eye. Baek Kang-hyuk riding a motorcycle with a rough, blackened face. His extraordinary actions and hidden past, which he does not hesitate to go to the battlefield to save people, raise curiosity. In particular, his unwavering composure and confidence even in critical situations make us anticipate the activities of the genius doctor ‘Hand of God’. Joo Ji-hoon, who recently showed various charms in ‘Lighting Store’, ‘Love is a Single-Log Bridge’, renews another life character in ‘Severe Trauma Center’. Joo Ji-hoon said, “Baek Kang-hyuk is a bold character who possesses both skills and intelligence. I felt pleasure and relief in seeing him destroy injustice. It felt like a kind of hero story”, stimulating anticipation for the character of ‘Baek Kang-hyuk’ that he will complete.
Choo Young-woo’s completely immersed in ‘Yang Jae-won’, who was summoned to the severe trauma team by Baek Kang-hyuk‘s choice, is also interesting. ‘Dokgo Dai’ Baek Kang-hyeok’s first disciple and slave number one ‘Yang Jae-won’ is a promising fellow in the proctology department. Having only walked the elite flower path, he grows while fighting to save seriously ill patients who are on the brink of death following Baek Kang-hyeok. Choo Young-woo, who is greatly loved for ‘Madame Ok‘s Story’, expressed his special affection, saying, “It’s a character that grew with me during filming. I think the parts of me that I grew up with were naturally expressed as Jae-won changes and grows.’
The role of ‘Cheon Jang-mi’, a good-natured senior nurse on the severe trauma team, was played by Ha-young, who showed amazing character digestion in the Netflix series ‘Iduna!’. Cheon Jang-mi is a veteran nurse with a strong sense of responsibility who has been guarding the severe trauma team that everyone hates for 5 years, and she is a character who supports Baek Kang-hyeok and struggles together with Yang Jae-won. Ha-young said, “Cheon Jang-mi is a passionate nurse who will do anything to save a patient‘s life. I talked a lot with the director about how the sometimes comical ’Rose‘ character could be incorporated into the medical setting in a fun way,” and conveyed her efforts to build the character.
Irreplaceable acting expert Yoon Kyung-ho adds to the fun with his signature sly acting as the head of the proctology department, ’Han Yu-rim.‘ Han Yu-rim, who had been solidifying her position in the hospital with her outstanding qualifications and flattery, is a character who changes with the appearance of the ’non-mainstream‘ Baek Kang-hyeok. She is displeased with his possessed skills and unconventional words and actions, and when he even takes away his beloved disciple Yang Jae-won, she shouts ’Down with Baek Kang-hyeok‘ and fights against everything. Yoon Kyung-ho, who introduced the character as “Han Yu-rim, is a character with great ambitions for promotion and success, and always gets into trouble with Baek Kang-hyeok,” said, “Since she is a character who undergoes change due to a certain incident, I focused on the process in which her early and later appearances gradually change,”, raising curiosity.
The appearance of ‘Park Kyung-won, an anesthesiology and pain medicine resident whose inner thoughts are hard to read, is also extraordinary. Park Kyung-won, a hidden talent acknowledged by the world-renowned Baek Kang-hyeok, silently supports and works hard for the severe trauma team. Park Kyung-won, who has her own distinct style, is played by Jung Jae-kwang, and he attempts a unique acting transformation through ‘Severe Trauma Center.”Jung Jae-kwang said, “Park Kyung-won is a character with a clear sense of ownership and who carries out her duties according to principles,”I tried to express the character’s emotions and situations mainly through her eyes and actions. “I chose long hair on Joo Ji-hoon‘s advice to show Park Kyung-won’s personality externally,” she revealed, adding to the curiosity.
Meanwhile, ‘Trauma Center’ is based on a popular webtoon of the same name that has been greatly loved for its refreshing and unique development, and is a collaboration between director Lee Do-yoon, who directed the movie ‘Good Friends’, and writer Choi Tae-kang of ‘Adamas’.
The Netflix series ‘Trauma Center’ will be released worldwide through Netflix on Friday, January 24.
