Actress Uhm Ji-won personally revealed why she chose ‘Please Take Care of the Five Eagle Brothers!’.

The new KBS 2TV weekend drama ‘Please Take Care of the Five Eagle Brothers!’ (directed by Choi Sang-yeol / written by Koo Hyun-sook), scheduled to air on Saturday, February 1 at 8 p.m., is a drama that depicts a mature family story created by the five unique brothers of the long-established brewery, Eagle Brewery, and the eldest sister-in-law who suddenly becomes the head of the household after her husband‘s sudden death just ten days after her wedding.

Uhm Ji-won plays the role of Ma Gwang-sook, a post office counter manager. Gwang-sook is an overly honest person who throws fastballs regardless of time and place. She will add liveliness to the drama by making people laugh with her unexpected and unexpected actions at all times. In addition, Gwang-sook’s life changes 180 degrees when she meets the representative of Eagle Brewery, Oh Jang-soo (played by Lee Pil-mo). Uhm Ji-won, who will be starring in a weekend drama through this production, is expected to show off her unique acting transformation and diverse acting skills, raising expectations.

Ahead of the first broadcast, Uhm Ji-won said, “I read the script with great interest. The character of ‘Gwang-sook’ in the drama resembles me in real life, so I was confident that I could portray this character well. I also wanted to try a production that could convey comfort after a long time,” revealing why she chose the production.

She said that she put her heart and soul into this production, adding, “I tried to change things up in terms of styling and other external aspects. I tried to bring out the lovely and sweet feeling that Gwang-sook has, and I paid the most attention to overall external aspects such as makeup, costumes, and hair,” raising curiosity about Uhm Ji-won’s version of the Ma Gwang-sook character.

In the meantime, Uhm Ji-won expressed the character of Ma Gwang-sook with three keywords: ‘Wan-to,’ ‘loveliness,’ and ‘emotion.’ “‘Wan-tto’ is an expression that appears a lot in the script, and it expresses Gwang-sook well.
