Fencing national team member Oh Sang-wook appeared as a ‘eating buddy’ on ‘Jun Hyun-moo‘s Plan 2’, finding real restaurants in Daejeon and captivating viewers with deep talk about dating styles and marriage plans.

On the 12th episode of the full-fledged street food documentary ‘Jun Hyun-moo’s Plan 2’ (jointly produced by MBN and Channel S), which aired on the 10th (Friday), ‘eating bros’ Jeon Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube (Kwak Jun-bin) were shown going on a trip to find real restaurants in Daejeon with ‘Daejeon‘s son’ and ‘fencing hero’ Oh Sang-wook, who graduated from elementary, middle, and high schools in Daejeon and is currently affiliated with Daejeon City Hall.

They visited famous bakeries in Daejeon, restaurants selected from over 700 kalguksu specialty stores, as well as Oh Sang-wook’s favorite ‘Tofu and Squid Duruchigi’ restaurant and the nationally famous ‘Spicy Kimchi’ restaurant to really get a feel for Daejeon. Oh Sang-wook especially candidly shared his thoughts on marriage and dating.

Jun Hyun-moo, who appeared in Daejeon that day, announced the start of his Daejeon food trip by saying, “Many people only know (Daejeon) bread, but the noodles are crazy. It‘s the city of flour!”. Immediately after, the two headed to a famous bakery in Daejeon, saying, “But we can’t not visit here”, but they found a fortune-telling vending machine on the street and asked their fortunes for the new year. After checking the contents of his fortune, Jeon Hyun-moo said, “If I get married this year, this is a holy land!” and revealed that he had a solid “marriage fortune.” Kwak Tube then asked directly, “Are you thinking of getting married this year?” and Jeon Hyun-moo answered bluntly, “If I find someone good, I will.” While Jeon Hyun-moo got a “daebak” marriage fortune, Kwak Tube complained, “My fortune is almost like an insult,” making everyone laugh.

The two, who started the new year with “polar opposites” fortunes, arrived at a bakery and “ate a ton(?)” of different types of bread. Kwak Tube said, “I recently went to France, and the bread in Daejeon is the best,” praising them, and Jeon Hyun-moo agreed, saying, “I admit it!” After that, the two people who got in the car went to a kalguksu restaurant with 64 years of tradition, carefully selected from over 700 kalguksu restaurants for Kwak Tube, a ‘kalguksu lover. Here, the two completely ‘fall in love’ with the boiled pork and also fell in love with the kalguksu. Jeon Hyun-moo exclaimed, “(This restaurant) is really great”.

Jeon Hyun-moo, who started the eating trip in a good mood, immediately called his ‘food buddy’ Oh Sang-wook. During the call, Oh Sang-wook declared the ‘Oh Sang-wook Plan’, saying, “I‘m going to show you the ‘Red Taste’ of Daejeon’. After that, the three people who met at Oh Sang-wook’s regular restaurant greeted each other warmly and went straight into recruiting. On this day in particular, it was not ‘Jun Hyun-moo-gi’ but ‘Son of Daejeon’ Oh Sang-wook who took on the casting, but unexpectedly faced a crisis of humiliation in terms of recognition. Fortunately, the three who succeeded in casting with Jeon Hyun-moo‘s support took their seats at the restaurant, and Oh Sang-wook showed off his ‘foodie’ force by saying, “If you order (the main menu) tofu and squid stew, they come with noodles”.

When the ‘Tofu and Squid Stew’ came out a while later, Jeon Hyun-moo’s ‘pupils dilated’ at the sight he was seeing for the first time. ‘Big eater’ Oh Sang-wook inhaled the stew and then ate it up with chive kimchi on the noodles. In Never Ending Oh Sang-wook’s mukbang, Kwak Tube was amazed, saying, “How do you manage your body when you eat so many carbohydrates?” Oh Sang-wook replied, “Just exercise and you‘ll lose weight. I exercise for 5-6 hours a day during the off-season.”

The three people who ‘all-killed’ the tofu and squid stew passed by two famous noodle restaurants and moved on to a famous ‘spicy kimchi’ restaurant. Jeon Hyun-moo, the ‘captain of spicy brats’, welcomed the real thing with kimchi and sniffed it, falling into ‘ecstasy’ and his eyes widened. Kwak Tube also seemed to have made up his mind and took a bite of a piece of kimchi. Then, he said, “Is it okay?” for a moment before breaking out in a sweat, saying, “(The spiciness is) too strong. My tongue is numb”. Jeon Hyun-moo and Oh Sang-wook inhaled hot somyeon gukbap (buckwheat noodle soup) topped with spicy kimchi in quick succession. Furthermore, the three reached the peak of their mukbang by adding mayonnaise to the ‘MZ-style’ recipe of spicy kimchi mixed with rice, sesame oil, and tuna.

In the meantime, Jeon Hyun-moo started talking about marriage by saying, “You told me before that you wanted to get married before you turned 35, right~”. Oh Sang-wook confessed, “(Those words) are still valid. When I see my ‘Appengers’ brothers (Goo Bon-gil, Kim Jun-ho, etc.), I think I need to get married soon. My family comes out to greet me and hugs me after a match, and I want to find that kind of happiness.” When asked about his dating style, Oh Sang-wook said, “If there’s someone I like, I‘ll completely dash toward them. On the other hand, I don’t really accept dashes. And I‘m the type that doesn’t contact them at all when I‘m working.” Lastly, Oh Sang-wook drew attention by revealing his inner thoughts, saying, “I want to start a family in the future, teach children, and continue to expand my path.”
