Actor Park Sung Hoon, who was criticized for the ‘AV photo controversy’, will finally be leaving his next project ‘The Tyrant‘s Chef’.

On the 11th, Park Sung Hoon’s agency BH Entertainment and ‘The Tyrant‘s Chef’ production company Studio Dragon stated, “After much discussion, we decided to leave the project.”.

Last year, on December 30th, Park Sung Hoon posted an AV (Adult Video) cover parodying the Netflix series ‘Squid Game’ on his SNS account, then deleted it. However, the post spread like wildfire through online communities, and it was shocking because it clearly contained scenes of numerous women’s nude bodies and sexual intercourse.

Afterwards, his agency BH Entertainment apologized, saying, “Park Sung Hoon was receiving so many direct messages (DMs) on social media that he accidentally uploaded it while checking his DMs. He was so surprised and is so sorry for making such a mistake in these times. He will be careful not to let something like this happen again.”

In particular, Park Sung Hoon said in an interview for ‘Squid Game Season 2’ (hereafter ‘Squid Game 2’), “First of all, I would like to apologize for the inconvenience and concern I have caused many people due to my recent huge mistake.” He continued, “I am very upset that something like this happened when the work and character were receiving so much interest and love. First of all, I feel very sorry for our entire team,” he said in a trembling voice, unable to hold back his tears.

However, the damage to Park Sung-hoon‘s image was inevitable, and it could not help but affect the side of ‘The Tyrant’s Chef‘, where he was chosen as the main character. The script reading schedule scheduled after this incident was also canceled. At the time, the production team said, “It was considering the social atmosphere of the national mourning period”, but the suspicion did not go away. And in the end, Park Sung-hoon decided to leave.
