The escape variety show ‘Great Escape’ is landing on TVING with a new stage. Veteran escapers Kang Ho-dong, Kim Dong-hyun, and Yoo Byung-jae, as well as Go Kyung-pyo, Baekhyun, and Yeo Jin-goo have joined as new faces.

The TVING original ‘Great Escape: The Story’, which will be released for the first time in the first half of the year, is Korea‘s only escape variety show with unpredictable developments. It is garnering much attention as a reboot version of the ‘Great Escape’ series, which began with Season 1 in 2018 and secured a solid fan base.

In particular, this ‘Great Escape: The Story’ will stimulate viewers’ reasoning skills with a more upgraded story and stage that makes the most of the characteristics of OTT. Here, Kang Ho-dong, Kim Dong-hyun, Yoo Byung-jae, Go Kyung-pyo, Baekhyun, and Yeo Jin-goo come together as a new escape team and show off their solid detective teamwork. Expectations are high for the escape team members‘ activities in solving various thematic mysteries set in unique backgrounds and time periods.

First, the teamwork of original members Kang Ho-dong, Kim Dong-hyun, and Yoo Byung-jae is drawing attention. Kang Ho-dong is the eldest brother of the escapees, and he leads the escapees with his tremendous strength to tear cabinets apart like sheets of paper, excellent leadership, and rich empathy.

Kim Dong-hyun, the ‘Father’s Power (meaning a father‘s strength is strong)’ with his unique ideas and outstanding physique, and Yoo Byung-jae, the self-proclaimed brain with quick reflexes, reasoning, and comedy, also reveal the know-how they’ve accumulated through the ‘Great Escape’ series.

In addition, the synergy of new escapees Go Kyung-pyo, Baekhyun, and Yeo Jin-goo, who have thrown down the gauntlet in ‘Great Escape: The Story’, is anticipated, raising interest. With Go Kyung-pyo, who has been active in entertainment, dramas, and movies, Baekhyun, a self-proclaimed idol and game maniac, and Yeo Jin-goo, a natural actor who enjoys situational dramas even in everyday life, the new escapees with a hexagonal balance are making people curious to see whether they will be able to escape safely from each theme.
