Channel A‘s new Sat-Sun drama ‘The Witch’ has confirmed its first broadcast on Saturday, February 15th, and has released its first teaser video. Actors Park Jin-young and Noh Jung-eui will continue writer Kang Full’s worldview.

Channel A‘s new Sat-Sun drama ‘The Witch’ (directed by Kim Tae-gyun, written by Jo Yoo-jin) is a mystery romance about ‘Dong-jin’, a man who tries to break the laws of bad luck surrounding women called witches, and ‘Mi-jeong’, a woman who became the seed of tragedy and cut herself off from the world, and who end up saving each other through a journey that they don’t give up on.

This dramatization of the webtoon of the same name, ‘The Witch’, by Kang Full, the popular webtoon writer behind ‘Moving’, ‘The Lighting Store’, and ‘The Fool’, was directed by Kim Tae-gyun, who displayed his high-density directing skills in the movie ‘The Murderer’. In addition, Park Jin-young, who has proven his acting skills in various genres, and Noh Jeong-ui, who has established herself as a popular young actor by expanding her acting spectrum, have taken on the roles of Dong-jin and Mi-jeong, respectively, completing the lineup that arouses expectations.

This video contains the beginning of the mystery salvation romance narrative of Dong-jin and Mi-jeong. One snowy day, high school student Dong-jin sees a girl with a sad face, Mi-jeong. She is surrounded by strange rumors at school. After a male student gets struck by lightning, rumors start to spread, saying, “This time, we‘re with Park Mi-jung again,” and “It’s because of Park Mi-jung.” Mi-jung herself confesses, “Since I was little, many strange things have happened around me.” Eventually, Mi-jung, unable to bear the rumors, leaves school.

As time goes by, Dong-jin, who has become the most highly paid data miner in the industry, is surprised to hear the name, “Mi-jung,” on the subway. She is standing right in front of the man who confesses, “I like Mi-jung.” Mi-jung has her hat pulled down low as if trying to deeply hide her existence, and takes a hostile attitude toward the man‘s confession, saying, “What do you know about me?” How Dong-jin, who reunited with Mi-jung as if it were a lie, will be able to save her, who is called a ‘Witch’ as the law of death follows her around like a curse, is the biggest point of interest in this work.
