Actors Park Jin-young and Noh Jung-eui will continue writer Kang Full‘s worldview with Channel A’s new Saturday-Sunday drama ‘The Witch’.

On the 13th, Channel A announced, “The new Saturday-Sunday drama ‘The Witch’ will premiere on Saturday, February 15th.‘The Witch’ is a mystery romance about ‘Dong-jin’ (Park Jin-young), a man who tries to break the laws of bad luck surrounding women called witches, and ‘Mi-jeong’ (Noh Jung-eui), a woman who has become the seed of tragedy and has cut herself off from the world, and who end up becoming each other‘s salvation at the end of their never-ending journey.

This dramatization of the webtoon of the same name, ‘The Witch’, by Kang Full, the popular webtoon writer behind ‘Moving’, ‘The Lighting Store’, and ‘The Fool’, is directed by Director Kim Tae-gyun, who displayed his high-density directing skills in the movie ‘Dark Figure of Crime’. In addition, Park Jin-young, who has proven his acting skills in various genres, and Noh Jeong-ui, who has established herself as a popular youth actor by expanding her acting spectrum, have been cast as Dong-jin and Mi-jeong, respectively, completing a lineup that arouses expectations.

The teaser video released by Channel A that day contains the beginning of the mystery salvation romance narrative of Dong-jin and Mi-jeong. High school student Mi-jeong becomes entangled in rumors that strange things have happened because of her after a male student gets hit by lightning. Mi-jeong herself confesses, “A lot of strange things have happened around me since I was young” and leaves school.

As time goes by, Dong-jin, who has become the most highly paid data miner in the industry, is surprised to hear the name ’Mi-jung‘ on the subway. He sees a man standing in front of Mi-jung, who seems to be trying to hide her existence, and confesses, “I like Mi-jung.” However, Mi-jung takes a hostile attitude to the man’s confession, saying, “What do you know about me?”

The biggest point of interest in this drama is how Dong-jin, who reunited with Mi-jung as if it were a lie, will be able to save her, who is called a ‘witch’ and is cursed with the law of death.

The production team said, “The first teaser video shows the background of Dong-jin meeting Mi-jung, who he had kept in his heart for a long time, and starting a journey to break her law of bad luck. He explained, “Please watch together to see how Dong-jin, a data miner who only believes in the truth extracted from big data, overcomes this situation that is impossible to understand rationally.”
