GOT7‘s Youngjae will be expanding his activities by appearing in the musical ‘Dream High’.

According to his agency Andbut Company on the 13th, Youngjae will be taking on the role of Song Sam-dong in the musical ‘Dream High’, which opens at Woori Financial Art Hall in Seoul on April 5th.

‘Dream High’ is based on the drama of the same name that aired on KBS 2TV in 2011. It depicts the story of the main characters, including Song Sam-dong, who moved from the countryside to Seoul to enter a prestigious arts high school, after they become adults.

Youngjae will be singing the OST ‘Starlight’, the main theme number that Song Sam-dong sings with his teacher Oh Hyuk, conveying deep emotions. This song was produced with the purpose of cheering on the dreams and hopes of young people preparing for independence, and it has become a hot topic.

He announced that he will prove his capabilities as a multi-talented multi-player, from OSTs to acting.

Youngjae said, “I’m happy to be able to convey dreams and hopes to many people with the character of Song Sam-dong,” and “Please look forward to and cheer on the new side of me that I will show on the musical stage.”

Meanwhile, Youngjae is preparing for a comeback with the entire GOT7 group on the 20th for the first time in about 3 years, and will appear in the U+ drama ‘Good Competition’, which will be aired for the first time on February 10th.
