Singers Yoon Sang and Lee Sang-soon have found their ‘names’ after a long time. They are meeting listeners by hosting MBC‘s longest-running radio program under their own names.

In fact, the two are as popular as anyone else, but since their sons and wives are more famous, they are often called ‘family names’, such as ‘Anton’s father’, ‘Lee Hyo-ri‘s husband’.

Yoon Sang has been hosting ‘This Morning, It’s Yoon Sang’ on MBC Radio FM4U since the 23rd of last month. He is delivering Yoon Sang‘s unique vitality to listeners as the successor to announcer Jung Ji-young, who has been a DJ for 12 years.

Yoon Sang is considered a veteran DJ who has hosted MBC Radio’s ‘Night Disk Show’, ‘Yoon Sang‘s Music Salon’, KBS 2FM’s ‘Yoon Sang‘s Pops Pops’, and ‘Music to You’ for over 30 years since 1991.

On a recent broadcast, he said, “I think I hear the name Yoon Sang the most these days,” and laughed, saying, “I’ve been called ‘Anton‘s Father’ for a long time, but I think I’ve finally found my own name.” Anton is a member of the K-pop group Rise, which is very popular both domestically and internationally.

At a press conference held on the 13th, Yoon Sang said, “As far as I know, the team Rise doesn‘t have any official radio guest experience. As Anton’s father, I would be very disappointed if these guys were guests somewhere other than ‘This Morning’. Of course, I want to have them as guests on ‘This Morning’,” he said.

Yoon Sang‘s ‘internal skills’ are also well-represented on the show. He shows off his extensive knowledge of the lyrics and stories behind each song he selects.

Lee Sang-soon is the same. He recently appeared as a DJ on ‘A Perfect Day with Lee Sang-soon’, which followed ‘This is Yoon Do-hyun at 4 O’Clock’.

The person who was most delighted by the news of Lee Sang-soon being selected as a radio DJ was his wife, Lee Hyo-ri.

He said, “Last year, when DJ Bae Chul-soo went on vacation, I went to Seoul to be a special DJ. At that time, I heard the radio and my wife (Lee Hyo-ri) liked it so much that she kept saying that she would like me to be a DJ if I had the chance,” he said.

He continued, “I was so happy that I got the chance to work as a DJ and actually did it,” and confessed, “My wife feels burdened by going out every day. Even though it is burdensome that she has to cook at home while I DJ, she likes it.”

‘Perfect Day with Lee Sang-soon’, which airs every day for two hours from 4 p.m., presents a peaceful afternoon to listeners by sharing light and warm stories about everyday life along with easy-to-listen music.
