Netflix series ‘Squid Game’ Season 2 is drawing attention by maintaining its No. 1 spot in the global TOP 10 for the third week since its release.
The story of ‘Ki-hoon’ (Lee Jung-jae) who vows revenge and returns to the game and the fierce confrontation between ‘Frontman’ (Lee Byung-hun) who greets him, and the real game that begins again, ‘Squid Game’ Season 2 has maintained its position as the No. 1 series in Netflix‘s Global TOP 10 for three consecutive weeks since its release.
‘Squid Game’ Season 2, which has captivated the world with its unique production and more diverse characters’ narratives, has maintained its No. 1 spot in Netflix‘s Global TOP 10 Series category, both English and non-English, with 26.3 million viewers (the number of hours watched divided by the total running time of the series) from Monday, January 6 to Sunday, January 12, and has continued its explosive response on the TOP 10 lists in 93 countries.
With this, it has achieved 152,500,000 views in its third week, becoming the third most-watched Netflix series in three weeks, following Season 1 of ‘Squid Game’ and ‘Wednesday’. In addition, ‘Squid Game’ Season 2 was named the most-watched series among the subsequent seasons, confirming that it has captured both artistry and popularity. Season 1 also took 3rd place in the global TOP 10 series (non-English), recording 8,700,000 views, proving the power of the ‘Squid Game’ series.
Meanwhile, ‘Squid Game’ Season 3 will be released in 2025.
