MBC‘s ‘Undercover High School’ has drawn attention by revealing the script reading site where the actors’ acting synergy shone through.
MBC‘s new Friday-Saturday drama ‘Undercover High School’ (planned by Nam Goong Sung-woo/written by Lim Young-bin/directed by Choi Jung-in/produced by Neo Entertainment, Slingshot Studio), scheduled to premiere in February, is a drama that contains the story of a National Intelligence Service agent who goes undercover as a high school student to track down the whereabouts of Emperor Gojong’s missing gold bars.
The main characters who will lead ‘Undercover High School’ have gathered in one place at the script reading site. Director Choi Jeong-in, writer Lim Young-bin, and top actors Seo Kang-joon (as Jung Hae-sung), Jin Ki-joo (as Oh Soo-ah), Kim Shin-rok (as Seo Myung-joo), Jeon Bae-soo (as Ahn Seok-ho), Lee Seo-hwan (as Kim Hyung-bae), Jo Bok-rae (as Go Young-hoon), Yoon Ga-i (as Park Mi-jung), Kim Min-joo (as Lee Ye-na), Park Se-hyun (as Ahn Yoo-jung), and Shin Joon-hang (as Lee Dong-min) all participated.

Seo Kang-joon, who plays the role of Jung Hae-sung, the ace agent of the National Intelligence Service‘s Domestic Team 4, overwhelmed the audience with his sharp charisma as expected of an NIS agent, while quickly melting into the character of a high school student. Also, it raised expectations about what kind of story Haesung, who became a student and went undercover, will lead.
Jin Ki-joo caught everyone’s attention by perfectly portraying the role of Oh Soo-ah, a temporary Korean history teacher. He portrayed the character‘s unique bright and bubbly side, making the set even more cheerful. Jin Ki-joo’s Soo-ah will show off special teacher-student chemistry with Haesung, delivering thrilling fun.
Kim Shin-rok, who plays the role of Seo Myeong-ju, the chairman of the Byeongmun Foundation and Byeongmun High School, displayed his veteran-like acting skills. He boldly transformed his acting with his cool-headed tone of voice and delicate facial expressions.
In addition, the passionate performances of actors with solid acting skills and charm, such as Jeon Bae-soo, Lee Seo-hwan, Jo Bok-rae, Yoon Ga-i, Kim Min-joo, Park Se-hyun, and Shin Jun-hang, also left a deep impression.
