‘I‘m All Grown Up But I Don’t Go Out’ Shin Jung-yoon, Ji-jo, and Jang Dong-woo foreshadow a more unadorned daily life as kangaroo sons.
‘I‘m All Grown Up But I Don’t Go Out’, which will be aired for the first time on MBC every1 and MBN on January 18, is a kangaroo tribe observation entertainment program that delivers honest laughter and empathy through the daily lives of stars who live with their parents in this day and age when one in two young people are ‘kangaroo tribe’ due to high prices of goods and housing.
During the pilot broadcast, Shin Jung-yoon put aside the smartness of a ‘head and professional actor’ and showed off her surprising charm as a precious child who bickers with her mother, while Ji-jo revealed her daily life that explodes with sadness by even revealing her monthly income. Jang Dong-woo has made everyone laugh with his unpredictable daily life, from his multiple episodes of being scammed to his confession of wearing no panties to his visits to the cultural center.
Meanwhile, Shin Jung-yoon, Ji-jo, and Jang Dong-woo have reunited as regular cast members for ‘I‘m All Grown Up But I Don’t Go Out’ and are still(?) living as kangaroo sons. Shin Jung-yoon said with a laugh, “Someone recognized me and I talked about the drama, and they said, ‘Kangaroo~ A kid who doesn’t leave the house~‘ I was embarrassed, but I remember being touched by their words of support.”
Shin Jung-yoon said the reason she reappeared on ‘I’m All Grown Up But I Don‘t Go Out’ was, “My mother said that doing this program together was a turning point in my life,” and added, “I’ve been talking to my mother more since the show aired. And we are getting along well while having idea meetings about the show,” he added.
In particular, Shin Jung-yoon said, “I’ve been feeling pressured to get married for a long time, so it doesn’t really hit me hard. However, I feel realistically that we will have to live apart from each other someday. I’m seriously thinking about emotional independence,” drawing attention.
Ji-jo, who honestly confessed that her monthly income was less than 1 million won during the pilot, said, “After the show, when I go to the hair salon or restaurant, I feel grateful that they want to do more for me. And there has been a slight change in my monthly income,” causing a smile.
Ji-jo continued, “I really wanted to be nicer to my parents on the show. However, I’m trying to be a more considerate son in everyday life because I can’t be too different from them in everyday life. I remember the reaction that they laughed and cried when they saw our family. I also got to make new memories with my family, so it‘s especially meaningful,” he said, expressing his affection for the program.
Jang Dong-woo, who made a shocking confession of “no panties,” said, “After the broadcast, the overwhelming response was, ”Are you really not wearing any underwear?“ When I go to a restaurant, people ask, ”Did you wear anything today?“ Since I wasn’t wearing anything, it‘s a little embarrassing when they look at me like that,” making everyone laugh.
Jang Dong-woo also made a heartbreaking confession on the broadcast, recalling the difficult times he went through with his mother after his father passed away. Jang Dong-woo said, “After the broadcast, I’m going to try to express myself more to my mother,” and added, “I‘m trying to fill in my father’s empty spot. I‘ve never been on a show like this while my father was alive. Through ‘I’m All Grown Up But I‘m Not Going Out’, I feel strong and thankful that I can always look back on myself and my mother in 2024 and 2025,” he said, drawing attention.
Lastly, Shin Jung-yoon, Ji-jo, and Jang Dong-woo said, “Please look forward to the honest and affectionate appearance of the kangaroo family in ‘I’m All Grown Up But I‘m Not Going Out’, which has no embellishment or correct answers,” and asked viewers to watch the original broadcast. ‘I’m All Grown Up But I‘m Not Going Out’, which will be aired for the first time at 8:20 PM on Saturday, January 18, will be simultaneously scheduled on MBC every1 and MBN.
