Actor Cha Joo-young‘s immersive acting drew favorable reviews.
In the tvN X TVING original drama ‘Won-gyeong’ that aired on the 14th, the epic of Won-gyeong (played by Cha Joo-young) clashing fiercely with Lee Bang-won (played by Lee Hyun-wook) unfolded. Previously, Won-gyeong went to personally visit Lee Seong-gye (played by Lee Sung-min) to persuade him.
In the midst of this, Won-gyeong was taken aback by Lee Seong-gye’s statement that Lee Bang-won was chosen as king to serve the Min family. Also, Won-gyeong could not hide his bewilderment after hearing Lee Seong-gye‘s cold warning to his family.
Won-gyeong also headed to the side hall after hearing Min Mu-jil (played by Kim Woo-dam) that a document signed by traitors had been delivered to the king. He then explained the king’s plan for rebellion to Lee Bang-won and even took out a knife from his bosom to show that it was a serious matter. Here, he used Chae-ryeong (played by Lee I-dam) to frame Ban Bang-ja (played by Hwang Young-hee), who was Yeong-sil‘s (played by Lee Si-ah) person, for treason.
After all the circumstances were sorted out, Won-gyeong, who confronted Lee Bang-won about Yeong-sil’s existence, showed a sharp reaction to his request. However, he was shocked when an unexpected situation occurred where Lee Bang-won himself stabbed Yeong-sil.
Cha Joo-young, who became completely one with the character, led the drama with a solid feel and heightened the tension. In particular, when he told Lee Bang-won about Lee Seong-gye‘s treason, he completed the tense atmosphere with his powerful gaze and unwavering demeanor, while also showing Won-gyeong’s determination and wisdom.
In addition, when he recalled the past with Lee Bang-won, he showed a delicate emotional line mixed with loneliness and sadness, making the viewers weep. In this way, Cha Joo-young drew a passionate response from viewers with her meticulously calculated acting without missing a single glance or breath.
The tvN X TVING original drama ‘Wonkyung’ starring Cha Joo-young airs every Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 PM on tvN.
