The 24th season of ‘I am SOLO’ has begun its ‘Burning Romance’.
On the 15th, the real dating program ‘I am SOLO’ of ENA and SBS Plus showed the ‘Night of Chaos’ of ‘24th Solo Land’ after their first date. In addition, the ‘Random Date’ planned by the ‘God of Love’ was previewed, raising the excitement index in the living room.
On this day, Kwang Soo, who went on a ‘2:1 Date’ with Jung Sook and Young Ja, showed off his sense by preparing hot packs and water in the passenger seat and back seat of the car. Young Ja complimented him, saying, “You really seem like a fraud!”, and Jung Sook also praised Kwang Soo, saying, “You must have been really popular”. Kwang-soo felt embarrassed, saying, “I‘ve never been treated like this before.” After a while, the three of them started a full-fledged conversation at a meat restaurant, and Young-ja, who started the ‘1:1 conversation’ first, said, “I wish I could talk to (my boyfriend) for even just one minute at the end of the day”,” and revealed her dating style. Kwang-soo replied, “I’m the type who talks a lot”. After the date, Young-ja said in an interview with the production crew, “He‘s the kind of affectionate person I want, but he lives far away”, expressing her concerns about ‘long-distance’. Jeong-sook, who then participated in the ‘1:1 conversation”, appealed to Kwang-soo that her life story of quitting a stable job to pursue a new dream was similar to his, emphasizing, “In fact, Kwang-soo’s job wasn‘t that important.” After the date, Jeong-suk was satisfied, saying, “It was good because our personalities are similar,” and Gwang-soo said, “Jeong-suk is number one right now!”
Hyun-suk and Sang-chul confirmed that although they have the commonality of dreaming of a loving family in their ‘1:1 Date’, they have different thoughts on ‘money’. Sang-chul said, “I could double my income if I opened a practice, but I don’t think a dad who makes a lot of money is necessarily a good dad.” On the other hand, Hyun-suk responded, “The more (money) I earn, the more comfortable my family will be, right?” After an awkward date, Hyun-sook said in front of the production team, “I wasn‘t really attracted to you,” and Sang-chul also tilted his head, saying, “I think we just talked about superficial things.”
After finishing the ‘1:1 date’ with Young-soo, Ok-soon returned to the dorm and went to find Young-sik and Young-ho, who had eaten the ‘Lonely Set Meal’. Young-sik was delighted to hear Ok-soon call him, and Ok-soon asked him, “Take me to the dorm.” Young-sik told Ok-soon, “I’m going to use the ‘Super Date Ticket” (on Ok-soon) later.” After sending Young-sik away, Ok-soon went back to the shared living room and called Young-ho, saying, “Do you have my cell phone here?” Then Ok-soon flirted by saying, “Actually, I wanted to go on a date with Young-ho too.” Young-ho excitedly appealed to Ok-soon, saying, “You‘re good at making stir-fried pork.” However, Ok-soon mistakenly thought Young-ho was a year older than her and joked, “Are you trying to seduce my older sister?” making Young-ho embarrassed. Later, Ok-soon revealed her unexpected true feelings in an interview with the production crew, saying, “Young-ho doesn’t feel like a man to me. Young-sik feels like a man, but I‘m not attracted to him. I think I’m attracted to men who make me challenge myself.”
At the same time, Young-sik relay-dashed after Ok-soon by mentioning the ‘Super Date Ticket’ to Young-sook, Jeong-sook, and Young-ja. Young-sik, who had appealed to four single women, confessed in front of the production crew, “I‘m feeling favorable toward Ok-soon, Young-sook, and Young-ja in that order.” Ok-soon also continued her busy romantic journey. Ok-soon sat next to Young-cheol, took out the jelly that Young-cheol had given her the day before, and ate it before putting it in Young-cheol’s mouth. She also called Young-cheol over as if she had an interview with the production team and asked, “Who did you choose when you were choosing your date? Didn‘t I mention it once?” Young-cheol complimented her by saying, “Isn’t everyone interested in Ok-soon?” Ok-soon responded, “Your interest is important, I don‘t need other people’s interest.” Finally, Ok-soon made a shocking remark, “Have you ever met someone older than you? I even froze my eggs.” Young-cheol was flustered and said in his interview with the production team, “It felt like I had cardiac arrest.” After finishing his conversation with Ok-soon, Yeong-cheol returned to the shared living room and told Yeong-soo, Yeong-ho, and Yeong-sik, “I went to talk to Ok-soon,” shocking the three men who were interested in Ok-soon.
Sang-cheol then revealed a past photo, saying, “I was blonde when I was a college student,” and immediately heated up the scene by singing Kim Gun-mo‘s “Seoul’s Moon,” using his band experience. Hyun-sook, Yeong-ja, and Yeong-sook showed their affection, saying, “I think Sang-cheol is so funny.” Gwang-soo, who quit his 5th-grade civil servant job and chose a new job, and Soon-ja, who is a vegetarian, also became close through deep talk. Soon-ja, who talked to Gwang-soo until 4:30 in the morning, explained in front of the production crew, “It felt like (Gwang-soo) suddenly broke through the line,” and “It was a time when we talked while taking out each of our internal organs.”
The next morning, Yeong-sik made rolled eggs for Ok-soon. Sunja confessed to Oksoon that she had been talking to Kwangsoo all night and that her feelings for him had grown. Oksoon warned her, “He’s a dangerous man!” and grumbled, “I don’t know who to talk to anymore. I like someone fun…” Sunja secretly defended Kwangsoo by recommending him, “Sangcheol is fun.” At that moment, Youngsoo and Youngsik came to see Oksoon, and Oksoon went to see them after putting on her full makeup. Youngsik gave Oksoon some rolled eggs that he had made in advance, and Youngsoo gave her some yogurt, but Oksoon suddenly called Youngsook over and said, “Let’s eat together.” Youngsoo sensed Oksoon’s changed heart and approached Youngja, a “Busan woman” who lived close to Changwon, where he lived. After eating, Oksoon ran into Kwangsoo and said, “Help me throw away the trash.” While cleaning up the trash with Ok-soon, Gwang-soo expressed his affection, saying, “Actually, I was curious about Ok-soon.” Ok-soon laughed meaningfully saying, “I‘m like an onion. The more you peel away, the more different sides of me there are.”
When lunch time came, the production team said, “The single men will choose the date this time in 6 hours,” and “We’ll have a ‘random date’ before that.” This ‘random date’ was where the single men would reenact famous lines from ‘I‘m SOLO’, and they would go on a date with a single woman wearing a t-shirt with the famous line written on it. Sang-chul chose Young-sook as his ‘number 1 favorite’, but he ended up with Ok-soon on the ‘random date’. Gwang-soo, who had wanted Ok-soon, got goosebumps when he ended up paired up with Soon-ja, who he had a deep talk with the night before. Yeong-soo, who chose Yeong-ja as his first choice, was matched with Yeong-ja right away. Yeong-soo said, “I’m getting goosebumps!” and expressed his gratitude to the “god of love.” Yeong-ho, who chose Yeong-ja as his “one pick,” ended up with Hyun-sook, while Yeong-cheol, who wanted Soon-ja, and Yeong-sik, who wanted Ok-soon, ended up with Yeong-sook and Jeong-sook, respectively. However, Yeong-sik suddenly shed tears while reenacting Gwang-soo’s famous line from season 6, “Ok-soon, you were the lead in my drama.” Right after, he burst into tears again in front of the production crew, saying, “I felt like I became Gwang-soo in that line. I got immersed in it because it was so similar to my situation.” In the following trailer, Young-ja suddenly bursts into tears during her date with Young-soo, and Ok-soon gets extremely angry at Sang-chul for telling her, “You’re not cute at all” and “Don‘t talk nonsense.” However, after the date, she shocks everyone by confessing her true feelings, saying, “I think it’s really okay.” In addition, the single men‘s “real choices” after the “random dates” were revealed, raising curiosity about next week’s episode.
The 24th season‘s thrilling romance can be seen on “I’m SOLO,” which airs on ENA and SBS Plus at 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the 22nd.
