Actor Lee Kyu-hyung is showing signs of reaching the peak of his comedic acting through ‘Kik Kik Kik’.
The new KBS 2TV Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Kik Kik Kik’ (written by Jung Soo-hyun, Nam Eun-kyung, Jung Hae-young / directed by Koo Sung-joon), which will be aired for the first time on Wednesday, February 5th, is an office comedy drama about popular actor Ji Jin-hee (played by Ji Jin-hee) and former star PD Cho Young-sik (played by Lee Kyu-hyung) who establish a content production company and run towards 3 million subscribers.
In the drama, the character Cho Young-sik, played by Lee Kyu-hyung, is a person who was once a successful PD but is now aiming for a new chapter as the CEO of a content company. Cho Young-sik was a star PD who caused a sensation with every work he touched, recording the highest viewership ratings for his debut work that year, but he ends up taking a step back from the industry due to unexpected incidents. In order to recover his precarious position, he joins hands with actor Ji Jin-hee and establishes ‘Kik Kik Kik Company’, dreaming of another leap forward.
The released photos capture Jo Young-sik struggling to regain his past glory, drawing attention. In particular, the scene where he is holding an umbrella and a hammer in his hands like weapons shows a solemn expression and an attack stance, giving a glimpse into Jo Young-sik‘s unpredictable daily life. It raises curiosity about what on earth happened to the once successful star PD.
Lee Kyu-hyung, who will show a comedic acting transformation into the character of Jo Young-sik, revealed the reason he chose ‘Kik Kik Kik’, saying, “I was drawn to the new genre of office comedy dramas.” He then recalled his first impression of the character, saying, “The way he was ruined was fun and impressive.”
