Actor Han Suk-kyu is transforming into a new ‘K hero’ who protects the peace of his neighborhood.

According to a comprehensive report from Sports Donga on the 16th, Han Suk-kyu recently received an offer to star in the new drama ‘The New CEO Project’ and is positively discussing it. ‘The New CEO Project’ is a comedy drama that tells the story of ‘CEO Shin’ who steps in to mediate disputes for people who are on the edge of a cliff with a 0 percent chance of winning.

Han Suk-kyu will take on the role of CEO Shin. CEO Shin, whom he will play, is a character who runs a fried chicken restaurant in a small town while keeping a secret hidden behind a veil. The drama will focus on the process in which CEO Shin tries to solve various incidents around him because he cannot just ignore them.

Han Suk-kyu is expected to show off a comical yet refreshing charm by playing the role of CEO Shin, who clashes with villains with his body and ‘talking’. The ensemble formed by him and his neighbors, including the fried chicken restaurant ‘Intern’, is also something to watch.

In addition, Han Suk-kyu is returning to the small screen once again after winning the Grand Prize for his role in MBC‘s ‘Traitor So Intimate’, which ended last November, and viewers’ expectations are growing even higher.

Meanwhile, ‘New CEO Project’ will be directed by PD Shin Kyeong-soo, who worked with Han Suk-kyu on SBS‘s ‘Deep-Rooted Tree’’‘Secret Door’. The script will be written by writer Ban Gi-ri, who made a name for himself with OCN’s ‘Door Frost’ and tvN‘s ‘Missing: They Were There’, and will be produced by Dooframe. The broadcast platform and timing have not been decided yet.
