Lee Min Ho, a versatile charm that can do comedy, romance, and medical (Ask the Stars)
Actor Lee Min-ho is showing off various transformations in ‘Ask the Stars’.
Lee Min-ho, who plays the role of a space tourist dinosaur in the tvN weekend drama ‘Ask the Stars’ (written by Seo Sook-hyang, directed by Park Shin-woo, planned by Studio Dragon, produced by Keyeast, and MYM Entertainment), is showing off his versatile charms that can do comedy, romance, and medical roles.
In particular, Lee Min-ho is showing the responsible side of the dinosaur character, an obstetrician and gynecologist who has a deep attachment to giving birth to life and saving it. Just as he said, “I acted with the greatest sense of responsibility to keep the promise I made to those who desperately want life”, he is acting out the sincerity of the dinosaur character who puts the heart of a mother who wants to have a child first.
Among them, the scene where he demands the establishment of a space infertility center for people like Na Min-jung (played by Baek Eun-hye) who loves children but is sad because she cannot become a mother contained the dinosaur‘s sincerity as a doctor. He also sweated profusely to save a small mouse and even risked his life to complete the given mission.
Lee Min-ho, who showed the strong will of an obstetrician and gynecologist in this way, added fun to the dinosaur’s period of space adaptation to zero gravity starting from entering the space station. He showed off his cute bragging by saying he would thread a needle in a zero gravity environment where it was difficult to even stand properly, and showed off his chemistry by drinking and pouring out all his feelings to the astronauts.
Lee Min-ho‘s natural gestures also played a part in completing the dinosaur’s suffering, staggering and losing control at the slightest touch from the other person, as well as his comical expression when he snatched the ice cream cup containing the egg culture dish from Eve Kim (played by Gong Hyo-jin) and ate it in a hurry.
On the other hand, Lee Min-ho‘s signature romantic acting stood out in the part where the dinosaur wavers over his feelings for Eve Kim after arriving in space. It starts with his gratitude to Eve Kim for saving him when he was in danger due to severe motion sickness after boarding a spaceship, and it gradually seeps into her who values even small lives without passing them by.
He also showed a bold side by jumping into space, full of danger, wearing only a flight suit, in order to save Eve Kim who was isolated in space. In the scene where he asks for help saying, “I only see you” when the safety rope ring that was binding Eve Kim is no longer visible, Lee Min-ho’s earnest eyes captured the attention.
In this way, Lee Min-ho unravels the process of a dinosaur character becoming a doctor, the reason he went up to space, and the numerous incidents he experienced on the space station. Amidst various variables surrounding him, such as secret missions and feelings for Eve Kim, the dinosaur character who silently goes his own way and Lee Min-ho’s passionate acting that will create this are highly anticipated.
