KBS 2TV‘s ‘Mr. House Husband Season 2’ (hereafter ‘Mr. House Husband’) depicts the tearful story of Park Seo-jin’s father‘s challenge to quit smoking.

Park Seo-jin’s father, who has been smoking for about 50 years, realized the seriousness of health management due to a history of myocardial infarction and declared to quit smoking in the new year. However, Park Seo-jin‘s father is still unable to quit smoking even though the new year of 2025 has arrived, and his entire family worries and nags him.

Unable to withstand the nagging of his family, Park Seo-jin’s father decides to quit smoking right away that day. The father shows his determination by cutting out all of his cigarettes in front of his family, but the Park Seo-jin siblings don‘t stop there and search every nook and cranny of the house, confiscating all the cigarettes and lighters that he had hidden. The father says, “My kids say they do it for my health, but I feel bad. When I found all the cigarettes, I almost cried,” he said, showing a regretful look on his face, making people laugh.

Then, Park Seo-jin’s father begins to suffer from withdrawal symptoms just three hours after starting to quit smoking. Park Seo-jin suggests, “I don’t think about cigarettes when I’m busy, so let’s make kimchi tomorrow,” and the family moves in unison to begin harvesting cabbage. However, the usually affectionate and loving father becomes extremely sensitive and shows a 180-degree different side.

Finally, when Park Seo-jin’s father is about to reach the 7-hour mark of quitting smoking, he not only searches through the cigarette butts in the ashtray, but also secretly heads to the rooftop at night when everyone is asleep.

Whether Park Seo-jin’s father will be able to successfully quit smoking will be revealed on KBS 2TV‘s ‘House Husband’, which will air on Saturday the 18th at 9:20 PM.
