The first stills of Kang Hye-won and Oh Woo-ri from ‘Friendly Competition’ have been released, drawing attention.
STUDIO X+U‘s drama ‘Friendly Competition’ (Planned by: STUDIO X+U / Produced by: YLAB FLEX, STUDIO X+U / Directed by: Kim Tae-hee / Scriptwriters: Kim Tae-hee, Min Ye-ji) will be released for the first time on February 10th. ‘Friendly Competition’ is a mystery girl thriller about friends who reveal their desires to ‘Seul-gi’, a transfer student to Chaehwa Girls’ High School, one of the top 1% in Korea where a cutthroat college entrance exam competition takes place, and the suspicious death of her father, who was a member of the CSAT committee. The special relationship between Yoo Je-yi (played by Lee Hye-ri) and Woo Seul-gi (played by Jung Soo-bin) amidst competition has been foreshadowed through posters and teaser videos that have been released so far, garnering a lot of attention.
In addition to Yoo Je-yi and Woo Seul-gi, there is another relationship to watch in ‘Friendly Competition’. They are Joo Ye-ri (played by Kang Hye-won), who cares more about her appearance than her studies even at Chaehwa Girls‘ High School, which only accepts the top 1%, and Choi Kyung (played by Oh Woo-ri), a typical model student who works hard at everything but is always pushed back by Yoo Je-yi.
In the midst of all this, ‘Friendly Competition’ will focus attention by releasing the first still cuts of Joo Ye-ri and Choi Kyung on January 17. Joo Ye-ri, smiling and holding a selfie stick, catches the eye first. Joo Ye-ri’s appearance, which seems more sincere than anyone else in leaving behind pretty pictures, hints at his interests.
The still cut that follows shows Choi Kyung sitting at her desk, holding a mechanical pencil in her hand, with a determined look in her eyes. This captures the classroom before a note test, and Choi Kyung‘s aura full of venom strongly conveys how serious she is about the test and her grades.
Although Joo Ye-ri and Choi Kyung have completely different interests and personalities, they are portrayed as best friends in the drama. People are curious about how the relationship between Joo Ye-ri and Choi Kyung, who dislike each other more than anyone else but are closer than anyone else, will be portrayed.
Meanwhile, ‘Friendly Competition’ will be released on February 10th through U+Mobile TV and U+tv.
