Mnet‘s ‘Stage Fighter’ is entering into a fiery class battle with a full-scale dance mission.
The third episode of ‘Stage Fighter’ (abbreviated as ‘Stepa’), which will air on the 8th, will depict a fierce class war between 64 dancers for the leading role in the ‘Dance Film by Genre’. After the physical and technique auditions, the full-scale dance mission will begin this week, properly stimulating the dopamine levels of viewers.
At the end of last week’s broadcast, a scene was shown where dancers by genre were summoned in one place for the class battle, with MC Kang Daniel, the Master & Coach corps, and rehearsal director Matthew all appearing, creating tense tension. The class selection battle is where the roles of the dancers who will take on the leading, supporting, and corps roles in the dance film are decided, and it is conducted as a class transfer evaluation by the Master & Coach Corps.
Amid the full-scale dance missions that will unfold starting this week, the class selection battle is drawing attention with the foreshadowing of a huge upset. Above all, unpredictable twists are foreshadowed, such as the challenge of Kimugan to confront Choi Ho-jong, the performance of rising Korean dancers, and the crisis of ballet prince Kang Kyung-ho, who received the ‘First’ rank.
The video released by the production team ahead of the 3rd episode broadcast shows scenes of a subtle atmosphere forming among the dancers after the ranks are determined through the physical & technique audition. The dancers who rose to the Second and Under ranks showed their determination to rise to the First rank, raising expectations for their performance.
In Korean dance, everyone falls into chaos with the upwardly standardized high-difficulty choreography class with Choi Ho-jong‘s choreography adopted. Among them, Korean dancer Kim Sang-gil, who received an under rank in the first audition, burns with determination and earnestness, saying, “There’s nothing that I can‘t do until I die. It’s not shameful to be under, but it‘s shameful to not make any effort while under.” As a result, a shocking spoiler was revealed where dancer Kim Sang-gil was promoted from ‘Under’ to ‘First’, drawing a heated response from viewers.
A point of interest is whether Kimu-gan, who broke everyone’s expectations and received a second rank, will be able to successfully rebel toward First. Kimu-gan, who firmly sharpened his sword saying, “I’ll go up,” smiles meaningfully after the class transfer evaluation saying, “I feel like I’ve found my place,” raising curiosity about whether he will succeed in getting promoted.
Meanwhile, the class evaluation through dance films by genre will unfold that day, presenting unstoppable tension. The 64 dancers will gather in one place amidst the strange atmosphere created between the classes. The setting, which perfectly captures the class society, such as the under class sitting on the floor and the first class sitting on the sofa depending on the class, will increase immersion. Anticipation for the main broadcast is rising as to who will become a candidate for demotion after failing to fulfill their role in the midst of a fiery war of nerves.
Episode 3 of “Stage Fighter” will air on the 8th at 10 p.m.
