Lee Ha-nui is returning with her signature ‘comic action’.

Starting with the movie ‘Extreme Job’, she has shown comical action acting in every leading role she has starred in, including ‘Wonder Woman’ and ‘Flowers that Bloom at Night’, and has found success. After just one year, she is challenging the box office once again with a new drama.

Lee Ha-nui has taken on the role of Park Kyung-sun, a special forces prosecutor, in the new SBS drama ‘The Fiery Priest 2’, which will air from the 8th of next month.

‘The Fiery Priest’ tells the story of Kim Hae-il, a priest with a hot-tempered personality and a strong sense of justice, as he heads to Busan to chase down a drug case.

The drama gained explosive popularity when it recorded its highest viewership rating of 22% when it was first aired in 2019, and after the end, ‘Season 2’ was introduced due to strong requests from viewers.

Season 2, which has returned after 5 years, has brought back the main characters of Season 1, including Kim Nam-gil, Lee Ha-nui, and Kim Sung-kyun, as well as director Park Bo-ram and writer Park Jae-beom.

This drama is particularly noteworthy because Lee Ha-nui will be showcasing her action acting skills, equipped with her greatest strength, her ‘comic DNA’.

Having received praise for renewing her life character in her role as Park Kyung-sun in Season 1, she is expected to show an upgraded appearance this time.

Lee Ha-nui‘s ‘character transformation’ in ‘The Fiery Priest’ is also drawing attention.

If in the previous episode she portrayed a prosecutor who would do anything for her career, this time she will reportedly be reborn as a ‘conscientious prosecutor’ who solves cases with her outstanding abilities.

In the process, Lee Ha-nui is expected to capture the attention of viewers by mixing in her more solid action acting from her tall stature with her comedic acting.

Lee Ha-nui recently conveyed her aspirations through the production team, saying, “Since they’ve set the stage again, I think I can grind my bones and have fun. You can look forward to it.”.
