Shim Hyung-tak is deeply moved by his mother-in-law‘s heartfelt breakfast table.
In episode 135 of Channel A’s ‘These Days‘ Men’s Life - Groom Class’ (abbreviated as ‘Groom Class’), which will air on the 16th, Shim Hyung-tak and his wife Saya go on a prenatal education trip to their in-laws‘ house in Japan. He prays fervently for ‘Saebong-i’ (name of the baby) who will be born in January next year, and the sight of him taking good care of his wife warms the living room.
According to the production team, as soon as Shim Hyung-tak wakes up from a good rest at his in-laws’ house, he puts his ear against Saya‘s stomach and listens to ‘Saebong-i’s’ heartbeat and affectionately greets her. He also hugs Saya tightly, saying, “Why are you so pretty in the morning~”. Later, he and his wife look at the breakfast table that his parents-in-law prepared before going to work, and he lets out a ‘clown-like’ smile when he sees the onigiri and handwritten letter filled with sincerity. However, when Saya asks him about the contents of the letter, he says, “It‘s a good thing,” and makes her burst into laughter.
The two finally taste the onigiri, and Shim Hyung-tak is touched, saying, “It’s so full of love that I can‘t express it in words.” While eating while looking out at the front yard, Saya says, “It’s nice if the child is with us when we eat together like this. The child will have memories of eating together as a family for the rest of his life. ”Our family always eats together,“ he says. Shim Hyung-tak nods and says, ”Originally, (before marriage) we would eat one meal a day when we were hungry, but after marrying Saya, we try to eat breakfast together.“ He responds, ”Shim was alone, so I‘m really happy.“
After eating, the couple sets off on a full-fledged prenatal education trip. They visit an old shrine located at the foot of Mt. Fuji and pray for their family. Shim Hyung-tak adds to the emotion by promising, ”Shim, I will also be a strong pillar to protect Saya and Saebong-i,“ while looking at a tree with strong roots in the mountain shrine. Afterwards, the two visit a place full of memories from Japan and spend a happy time.
The broadcast is at 9:30 PM on the 16th.
