Woo Do-hwan♥Lee Yoo-mi♥Oh Jung-se and Kim Hae-sook… ‘Mr. Plankton’ character stills released

Netflix‘s new series ‘Mr. Plankton’ has released character stills of Woo Do-hwan, Lee Yoo-mi, Oh Jung-se, and Kim Hae-sook.

The Netflix series ‘Mr. Plankton’, which will be released on November 8, is a romantic comedy that unfolds as ‘Haejo’, a man who was accidentally born in the wrong place, is forcibly accompanied by the world’s most unlucky woman, ‘Jae-mi’, on his last journey in life. It contains the diverse charms of ‘Haejo’ (Woo Do-hwan), who sets out on the last wandering of his life, his ex-lover ‘Jaemi’ (Lee Yoo-mi) who ends up accompanying them unexpectedly, the innocent groom ‘Eohung’ (Oh Jung-se) who chases after them, and the extraordinary head of the clan ‘Beomhoja’ (Kim Hae-sook).

The character stills released this time stimulate anticipation even more. First, the appearance of Haejo as an uninvited guest captured at Jaemi and Eohung‘s wedding, to his empty gaze in the rain, and even the smile that only appears when he is with Jaemi, Haejo’s various expressions stimulate curiosity about him.

Woo Do-hwan said, “Haejo has the freest soul than anyone else,” and “I wanted to express his free-spiritedness well.” With the surprise appearance of Haejo, Jaemi embarks on an unexpected wandering together and comes face to face with her honest self along the way.

Lee Yu-mi introduces her as, “Jaemi is like a flower blooming in misfortune. A friend who treats every moment with sincerity and lives honestly,” and says, “Jaemi is comforted by Haejo, who scratches her itchy parts. I hope that Jaemi‘s detailed emotions as she faces various situations are conveyed.”

The sight of Eohung chasing after Haejo and Jaemi is also exciting. Eohung, the innocent groom who gave Jaemi a pair of flower shoes and pledged his love, loses his bride in front of his eyes on the wedding day he had dreamed of and begins the first-ever, deviant chase in his life. Oh Jung-se, who emphasized that “Eo-heung is a ‘first’ character,” hinted that “love, pursuit, fighting, and even her own life are ‘firsts for her.”

The unapproachable aura of Beom-ho-ja, the mother of Eo-heung, the only child of the fifth generation of the clan, also draws attention. When the fun of being a prospective daughter-in-law who was accepted simply because she was the ‘Mr.’ of the historic Pungyang Eo clan disappears, Beom-ho-ja takes special measures. Mrs. Beom-ho-ja, who has an extraordinary momentum, is portrayed by reliable actress Kim Hae-sook with her acting skills, sometimes sternly and sometimes comically, adding depth to the character.

‘Mr. Plankton’ is receiving much anticipation as it is the collaboration of Director Hong Jong-chan of the Netflix series ‘Juvenile Justice’, the drama [Dear My Friends], and Writer Cho Yong of [It’s Okay to Not Be Okay]. Director Hong Jong-chan expressed his deep affection, saying, “This was the most blessed casting in my directing career. Each and every actor gave their best performance with sincerity.” The work will be released worldwide through Netflix on Friday, November 8.
