Kang Ji-young discusses love with Sri Lankan MZ people.
The 5th episode of JTBC‘s ‘Extreme Tour’, which will air on the 20th, will depict the story of Kang Ji-young, a 14-year JTBC announcer, who went to Sri Lanka for her ‘first travel variety show’ and ‘first backpacking trip’.
According to the production team, Kang Ji-young experiences an unbelievable incident on the plane when the air conditioner breaks down, and immediately after arriving in Sri Lanka, she encounters heavy rain, starting her trip off on a terrible note. With a positive ‘spiritual mindset’ and a bold determination to “not be treated like a fool”, she tries using a taxi app, but eventually explodes with frustration as she is unable to leave the airport for over 30 minutes.
After barely escaping the airport, Kang Ji-young finds a local restaurant and musters up the courage to ask a beautiful Sri Lankan woman who is eating alone to join her. Surprisingly, she responds to Kang Ji-young with her fluent Korean and reveals that the secret to her success is K-historical dramas like ‘Dong Yi’ and ‘Dae Jang Geum’, making everyone laugh.
The three of them talk about the love lives of Sri Lankan MZ people, with her boyfriend, who boasts a warm appearance, joining them. Here, Kang Ji-young starts off by saying, “Marriage is crazy, but...”, and talks about her married life for the first time on a broadcast.
After that, Kang Ji-young takes on the extremely difficult local bus ride to meet her travel mate. In hot and humid weather, the express bus without air conditioning or a fan, the unpaved road for over 4 hours, and the loud music blaring from the speakers that prevent her from sleeping even for a moment, all of the studio MCs, including Kang Ji-young, are astonished. Whether Kang Ji-young will be able to safely meet her travel mate on the ‘extreme bus’, and who the travel mate who greets her as “sister” is, are drawing attention.
The broadcast will be on the 20th at 9 p.m.
