Lee Yi-kyung, ‘Chinese food goddess’ Park Eun-young and pink ♥… warm atmosphere (놀뭐)
A pink current flows between Chef Park Eun-young and Lee Yi-kyung.
The MBC ‘What Do You Do When You Play?’ (directed by Kim Jin-yong, Lee Joo-won, Wang Jong-seok, So In-ji, Bang Sung-soo/written by Noh Min-sun) broadcast on the 19th was decorated with the ‘Autumn Tonic Food’ episode, and Chef Park Eun-young, who taught Yoo Jae-suk ‘Yoo San-seul Ramen’ 4 years ago, reappeared as the ‘Chinese food goddess’. Chef Park Eun-young shared the behind-the-scenes of the popular entertainment show ‘Black and White Chef’, and showed off her honest and hearty talk by making Yoo San-seul Ramen with Yoo Jae-suk for the first time in four years.
On this day, the members toured a herbal medicine market, a Korean medicine clinic, and a Korean medicine cafe with guest Kim Kwang-gyu who needed to take care of his body. At the Korean medicine clinic, Young-soo, a member of the third season of the entertainment show ‘I Am Solo’, which Lee Yi-kyung is currently MCing, appeared as an Korean medicine doctor, and Lee Yi-kyung was amazed and said, “Amazing! It‘s my first time seeing you outside of a cast member”. Joo Woo-jae was diagnosed with a sharp gaze but weak lower body due to the energy gathered in his eyes, while Yoo Jae-suk earned the nickname ‘Yoo Pal-pal’ for his energetic personality.
Chef Park Eun-young made a surprise appearance during the next course. Yoo Jae-suk enthusiastically welcomed his teacher Chef Park Eun-young, who had returned as a star. Chef Park Eun-young received cheers when she said she would make Dongpo pork dumplings, which were the first to pass the ‘Black and White Chef’, as a nutritious dish. Dongpo pork dumplings were a dish that Baek Jong-won highly praised as being delicious even though Chef Park Eun-young failed to flip them over due to nervousness during the competition and all the meat juice was gone. Chef Park Eun-young announced her second challenge, saying, “Today, I’ll make you something that doesn‘t lose its meat juice.”
Chef Park Eun-young left Korea after filming ‘Black and White Chef’ and is currently working at a famous restaurant in Hong Kong. The members asked if she had ever felt sick when chefs from ‘Black and White Chef’ made restaurant reservations so popular. Chef Park Eun-young honestly answered, “My stomach hurts so much””If I had known it would do this well, I wouldn’t have gone to Hong Kong”. When asked if she felt popular in Hong Kong, she made everyone laugh with her bold choice of words, “My face looks amazing when I work in the kitchen.” When asked how it was every time he went up the round, he drew attention by revealing his confident thoughts, saying, “Is this my turn?”
Yoo Jae-suk was surprised by his teacher‘s talkativeness that has changed from 4 years ago, saying, “You never opened your mouth in the past,” and “Teacher, you’re full of bravado?” Yoo Jae-suk, who returned with “Yurasek,” also made Yoo San-seul Ramen with Chef Park Eun-young. The teacher-student duo shot was created for the first time in 4 years, and Yoo Jae-suk recalled his memories and helped his teacher finish boiling the noodles.
The kitchen suddenly turned pink when Chef Park Eun-young revealed that her ideal type was Lee Yi-kyung. Yoo Jae-suk poured cold water on it, saying, “Let‘s not do this! Why are my teacher and my colleague?” and Haha said, “I’m into uncle! He‘s the most fun,” and was delighted. Lee Yi-kyung snatched the apron that Yoo Jae-suk was wearing and rushed into the kitchen, doing a ‘chop plot’ while swinging a knife wildly. The members felt vicarious excitement as they watched the two cooking together, saying, “This is their own world”.
Finally, Kim Kwang-gyu took a picture with his cell phone, saying, “It’s so nice to see”. Everyone burst into laughter as Kim Kwang-gyu, who became the master of ceremonies(?) between Lee Yi-kyung and chef Park Eun-young, took a commemorative photo. In the midst of them, Yoo Jae-suk, the disciple, tried to get his teacher‘s attention by talking to him, but his disappointment exploded when he didn’t hear an answer, causing laughter. Haha said, “Oh my, sister-in-law(?)” and gave up his spot to Chef Park Eun-young next to Lee Yi-kyung, and Park Jin-joo said, “This drama is fun,” and was delighted with the dopamine-filled love line.
Amid the scandal, a tasting of Yoo San-seul Ramen and Dongpo Pork Dumplings took place. Yoo Jae-suk, while inhaling his teacher‘s Yoo San-seul Ramen for the first time in a long time, said, “Please teach me another ramen recipe. Just for me,” and restrained his new disciple Lee Yi-kyung. Chef Park Eun-young succeeded in flipping herself, which she failed to do during the “Black and White Chef” competition, and the members tasted the juicy Dongpo Pork Dumplings. Joo Woo-jae exclaimed, “It’s a taste you can’t find in Korea.”
MBC’s “What Do You Do When You Play?” airs every Saturday at 6:25 p.m.
