In episodes 5 and 6 of the TVING original series ‘Good or Bad Dong-jae’ (directed by Park Gun-ho, creator Lee Soo-yeon, written by Hwang Ha-jung and Kim Sang-won), the secret behind the high school student shooting murder case was revealed. The case, which expanded into a new drug cartel, began to flow in an unexpected direction as the murder of drug supplier Mr. Kang occurred one after another. Seo Dong-jae, who seized the opportunity by securing crucial evidence, and Nam Wan-seong (played by Park Sung-woong)‘s suspicious movements to protect his son Nam Ki-rae (played by Kim Soo-kyum) heightened the tension.

On this day, Seo Dong-jae figured out how the deaths of Nam Ki-rae and Im Yu-ri (played by Choi Joo-eun) were connected to the new drug ‘Purple’. Park Chan-hyuk (played by Heo Dong-won) had been selling the drugs he had lost by accidentally picking them up and throwing them away. Lim Yu-ri, who was killed in the last deal. Based on the circumstances, the last dealer was likely the murderer, and Seo Dong-jae pointed to Park Chan-hyeok. It was likely that he approached the children under the guise of a deal to get the drugs back. However, there was no evidence. Seo Dong-jae quickly asked Manager Jeon Mi-ran (Lee Hang-na) for permission to execute the warrant.

Seo Dong-jae thought it was a golden opportunity to make a contribution, but Jo Byung-geon (Hyun Bong-sik) put the brakes on again. He had obtained information that Choi Geum-ho (Han Jae-young) was resuming the deal for the new drug, ’Purple‘. Seo Dong-jae was trying to find evidence of the murder by searching and seizing Park Chan-hyeok, and Jo Byung-geon was aiming to destroy Choi Geum-ho’s drug cartel and go straight to the Supreme Prosecutors‘ Office. In the end, Jeon Mi-ran ordered that the drug investigation and the Im Yu-ri death investigation be conducted simultaneously, and the entire Cheongju District Prosecutors’ Office was in an uproar.

A joint investigation by the prosecution and police began under the leadership of Jo Byung-geon, and the middleman Choi Geum-ho‘s faction of the new ecstasy ‘Purple’ drug organization and the transport brokerage chief Won Sa-jang (played by Yoo Jeong-ho) were all arrested, but Choi Geum-ho fled the scene with a gunshot wound. However, Choi Geum-ho died while being captured by Nam Wan-seong’s gang, and the situation changed when it was revealed that Park Chan-hyeok had also been kidnapped by Nam Wan-seong.

At the same time, Seo Dong-jae hurriedly dispatched upon hearing news that Im Yu-ri‘s murder weapon had been discovered. The place Seo Dong-jae arrived at was another murder scene. Moreover, it was presumed to be the ‘Purple’ manufacturing plant. The victim was Kang Su-min (Park Seung-wan), the distributor of ‘Purple’, also known as ‘Mr. Kang, and the shotgun that Nam Wan-seong used to kill Im Yu-ri was found at the scene. Seo Dong-jae was delighted, recalling Jo Byung-geon’s words that the distributor and the manufacturer were separate. If he could catch the manufacturer, Seo Dong-jae would solve the case. Furthermore, if Nam Ki-rae was not the culprit, Seo Dong-jae would solve the case and naturally release it. Luck was on Seo Dong-jae‘s side. Now, it was a battle between Jo Byung-geon and Seo Dong-jae to see who could be caught first.


The clues didn’t come easily. It was a strange situation where there were no fingerprints of the culprit, including the gun, but only the fingerprints of the victim. Not even a single drop of the perpetrator‘s blood was found. The scientific investigation team’s words that someone who had been handling drugs for a long time might not have fingerprints and the smell at the scene suddenly brought back Seo Dong-jae‘s memories. It matched the unfamiliar smell he had smelled from the bowling alley owner. Now all he had to do was catch the drug manufacturer. And Seo Dong-jae, who was convinced that Nam Ki-rae was not the murderer, took him to Nam Wan-seong and sold the land.

Seo Dong-jae and Jo Byeong-geon each spurred their investigations to get the ball first. Seo Dong-jae, who heard that Jo Byeong-geon had first obtained a search warrant for the Seoul residence of the murdered Kang Su-min, headed straight to the bowling alley. Seo Dong-jae found the ecstasy ‘Purple’ ingredient in a beer can found in a trash can. Seo Dong-jae, who had reached the starting point of Im Yu-ri’s death and the drug cartel, finally monopolized the evidence. “I was always the only one left out and left out. Now I‘m the only one who knows. It was for today. I wanted a day like this to happen to me too. Seo Dong-jae’s burning fighting spirit, saying, ”Let‘s go, great sword!“, amplified curiosity about the future development.

Meanwhile, Nam Wan-seong’s suspicious movements heightened the sense of crisis. He planned a new scenario to get Nam Ki-rae, who was entangled in a drug case, out of the investigation. He set up the situation that Im Yu-ri had masterminded everything, and held a press conference to emphasize that Im Yu-ri, who died while trying to sell drugs, was the daughter of a detective. He then revealed that there had been a police coercive investigation to frame Nam Ki-rae for the drug case. Nam Ki-rae‘s tearful testimony, which was transformed into an ordinary high school student in order to turn around negative public opinion, was also broadcast live and spread.
