Shim Hyung-tak and Kim Jong-min felt a deep realization from the parenting routine of ‘Dad of many children’ Jeong Seong-ho and expressed their ambition to “be a dad of many children”.
On the 137th episode of Channel A‘s ‘These Days Men’s Life - Groom Class (hereafter ‘Groom Class’)’ that aired on the 30th, Shim Hyung-tak was shown receiving practical parenting tips from the loving ‘father of five’ Jeong Seong-ho. In addition, Park Hyun-ho took on the role of Eun Ga-eun‘s daily manager and took care of her 24 hours a day, while also revealing his honest feelings about marriage, giving us both excitement and emotion.
Shim Hyung-tak, who is due to give birth to ‘Saebong-i’ (the second-year-old’s nickname) in January next year, visited the home of Jeong Seong-ho, a representative dad of many children in the entertainment industry. He asked Jeong Seong-ho for help in getting parenting tips while experiencing real-life parenting. Shim Hyung-tak, who entered Jeong Seong-ho‘s house, was amazed by the family photos on the wall and said with a laugh, “My older brother is my role model. I want to have three children too.” Jeong Seong-ho heard this and said, “Everything will be full (when you start raising children). I’ll show you the reality,” and showed him around the house. Jeong Seong-ho‘s house had as many as seven refrigerators, and the amount of laundry was also enormous. In addition, the multipurpose room was filled with unopened Lego boxes covered in dust. Shim Hyung-tak was shocked by this and made a blank expression, saying, “I think this is my future. It’s sad.”
Jeong Seong-ho cut the watermelon Shim Hyung-tak bought and left his youngest child in Shim Hyung-tak‘s care for a while. Sim Hyung-tak, holding the child, said, “This feels so good,” and was happy. However, when the child cried, he had a “mental breakdown,” and Jung Sung-ho skillfully soothed the child. He then said, “I quit drinking and golfing while raising the child. It’s just family, this is all I have,” and received applause from the “Studio Mentor Corps.” In a peaceful atmosphere, Jung Sung-ho‘s four children returned home as a group. As soon as they got home, the children naturally took care of their youngest sibling. Sim Hyung-tak was amazed at the children’s unified movements, and Kim Jong-min, who was watching them in the studio, also coquettishly said, “I was originally thinking of having one or two children, but after seeing Jung Sung-ho‘s family, I think having multiple children would be okay. I want to have them soon.”
Jung Sung-ho gave real-life parenting tips. He especially emphasized the importance of postpartum care centers. He said, “A husband must always stay by his wife’s side even when she is in a postpartum care center,” and Shim Hyung-tak was embarrassed, saying, “While my ex-wife was at the ‘postpartum care center,’ she tried to enjoy some time alone.” Lee Seung-chul, the ‘principal,’ emphasized, “If you don‘t stay with me, there will be a big problem. That disappointment will last a lifetime.” While Shim Hyung-tak was having a great realization, his second daughter boiled jajangmyeon (noodles with black bean sauce) for everyone as lunch. After eating, Jeong Seong-ho handed out baby products that the children had used to Shim Hyung-tak, and Shim Hyung-tak slyly asked, “Then you aren’t thinking about having a sixth child?” Jeong Seong-ho cheerfully replied, “No. We don‘t have enough rooms now.” After Shim Hyung-tak’s parenting class ended warmly, the next day was the day of the ‘Eun-bak couple’.
Park Hyun-ho gave Eun Ga-eun a ‘Wish Granting’ coupon to commemorate his 200th day with her, and at her request, he became her manager for the day. Park Hyun-ho took close care of Eun Ga-eun from the beauty salon, and personally drove her to the event venue in Dangjin. Then, he made a ‘Proposal’ comment, “I want to be Ga-eun‘s life manager”, which made Eun Ga-eun laugh brightly. Eun Ga-eun, who successfully finished the event thanks to her boyfriend’s support, said, “There‘s a place I’ve always wanted to go with my boyfriend when I come to Dangjin”, and they went to an amusement park with a Ferris wheel. When Kim Jong-min said, “You look really nice” at the sight of the sweet couple, Park Hyun-ho suggested, “A double date?” Kim Jong-min immediately waved his hand, saying, “I think it‘ll be uncomfortable,” causing the studio to burst into laughter.
Eun Ga-eun, who rode the Ferris wheel, kissed Park Hyun-ho on the cheek as soon as she reached the top. Park Hyun-ho immediately returned the kiss, heating up the atmosphere. The two who made beautiful memories went out to eat afterwards. Park Hyun-ho prepared a special meal to replenish Eun Ga-eun’s energy, successfully capturing her taste. In a pink atmosphere, Park Hyun-ho said, “It‘s nice to be together all day. If I get married, won’t I be able to feel this happiness every day?” and started talking about marriage. Eun Ga-eun said, “Actually, when I was young, I wanted to get married quickly, but after dreaming of becoming a singer, I completely forgot about marriage and lived my life,” and honestly shared her feelings, saying, “I think I became afraid of marriage because I thought it might be too late.” Park Hyun-ho, who had been quietly listening to Eun Ga-eun‘s story, consoled her, saying, “Ga-eun’s age doesn‘t matter (to me). Only happy things will happen to her from now on.” He then asked, “What kind of husband do you want, and what kind of wife do you want to be?” Eun Ga-eun replied, “I like someone who speaks nicely,” and then said, “What kind of wife do I want to be? Someone who makes my husband warm seaweed soup on his birthday, irons his clothes when he gets home from work, and gives him towels when he gets home after he washes up...” before shedding tears as she talked about her dream family. Park Hyun-ho also reddened his eyes and said sincerely, “My life goal is to be a husband and father who takes good care of my family and is always by their side.” He then made a firm promise, “I hope Ga-eun is my first and last love. Let’s meet again in the future.” Eun Ga-eun responded with “I love you” and smiled happily.
