‘Marriage’ Kang Ji-young confesses her inner feelings “Recently received psychiatric counseling” (Extreme Tour)
Anchor Kang Ji-young reveals her inner feelings.
The 7th episode of JTBC‘s ‘Extreme Tour’ (planned by Son Chang-woo, directed by Yoo Soo-yeon), which will air at 9 p.m. on the 3rd (Sunday), will feature the final travel story of announcer Kang Ji-young and traveler Jay, who left for Sri Lanka.
On this day, the two leave on a train trip to ‘Haputale’, a highland area in Sri Lanka and a world-renowned black tea producing region. This course is famous for its beautiful tea field scenery, so much so that it has been introduced as ‘The most beautiful train ride in the world’ by international media outlets such as the BBC and CNN.
However, the two are frustrated with the Sri Lankan train system, which has divided the classes of passenger cars, to the point that it is called ‘Real-life Snow Country Train’. The comfortable first-class seats with air conditioning are so competitive that they are fully booked a month in advance, so the two end up purchasing ‘2nd-class unreserved seats’ tickets that are first-come, first-served. Kang Ji-young is flustered when she realizes that if she can’t get a seat, she‘ll have to stand for six hours, saying, “Does that make sense?”
Kang Ji-young and Jay secure a prime spot where the second-class unreserved seat car stops, but contrary to their expectations, the third-class train stops right in front of them, putting them in danger once again. It’s said that even the MCs in the studio earnestly wished, “You have to get a seat,” and “If you can‘t get a seat, you’ll have to stand for six hours.”
The two visit the highlands of Sri Lanka for the last part of their trip and try extreme camping. There, Kang Ji-young thanks Jay, a traveler, for being her travel mate. She also confesses about the psychiatric counseling she recently received and the inner feelings that led her to decide to go on the extreme tour. Kang Ji-young‘s honest story, saying, “I was so touched back then,” will be revealed on JTBC’s ‘Extreme Tour’, which airs at 9 p.m. on Sunday the 3rd.
