Kim Nam-gil cried + knelt down… What‘s going on with his determined expression? (The Fiery Priest 2)
Kim Nam-gil of SBS’s new Friday-Saturday drama ‘The Fiery Priest 2’ embarks on a new mission as ‘Bellato’.
‘The Fiery Priest 2’ (written by Park Jae-beom, directed by Park Bo-ram, produced by Studio S, Big Ocean ENM, Red Nine Pictures, Gilstory ENT) is a collaborative investigation drama about Kim Hae-il, a passionate priest with anger management issues who is a priest during the day and the boss of the angel faction for ‘Bellato’ at night, as he heads to Busan to fight the country‘s biggest drug cartel. The new season, which returns five years after the end of ‘The Fiery Priest 1’, is garnering much anticipation.
With just two days left until the first broadcast, the scene of ‘Preparing for sortie’, where Kim Nam-gil had his characteristic sudden rash during a pious meal, has been revealed. It is a scene where the ‘Guvengers’ members gathered at the Gudam Cathedral restaurant and enjoyed a friendly meal. However, at that moment, Kim Hae-il, who was sitting on top of the kimchi refrigerator, suddenly yells while watching Gu Dae-young (Kim Sung-kyun), Oh Yo-han (Go Gyu-pil), Song Sak (Ahn Chang-hwan), Kim Soo-nyeon (Baek Ji-won), and Han Shin-bu (Jeon Sung-woo), surprising everyone. Furthermore, Kim Hae-il later enters the temple alone in the middle of the night, kneels in front of the memorial tablet of the deceased Father Lee Young-jun (Jung Dong-hwan) with a determined expression, laments and weeps, raising curiosity as to why Kim Hae-il is showing such an unusual behavior.
The production team of ‘The Fiery Priest 2’ said, “Kim Nam-gil has heightened the atmosphere of Season 2 with his three-dimensional acting that shows various faces from the first episode” and “Kim Nam-gil exudes Kim Hae-il’s unique aura, whether alone or with others. Please cheer on Kim Nam-gil‘s performance, which will captivate the eyes and ears of viewers with colorful scenes,“ he said.
SBS’s new Friday-Saturday drama ‘The Fiery Priest 2’ will premiere on Friday, November 8 at 10 p.m.
