Im Ji-yeon and Chu Young-woo develop a sad romance in the midst of their precarious lives.
JTBC‘s new Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Madam Ok’s Story’ (written by Park Ji-sook, directed by Jin Hyeok) is a work that depicts the fierce survival fraud drama of Ok Tae-young (played by Lim Ji-yeon), a woman whose name, identity, and husband were all fake, and Cheon Seung-hwi (played by Chu Young-woo), a celebrity who risked his life to protect her.
In the drama, the fake Ok Tae-young is a character who ran away as a slave after enduring all kinds of persecution and abuse from her vicious master, but ends up living as the daughter of a nobleman by chance. Attention is focused on whether the slave Guduk (played by Im Ji-yeon), whose wish was to grow old gracefully rather than starve to death or die, will be able to achieve her dream as she went against her own fate in order to survive.
Cheon Seung-hui, who tries to protect him, is a celestial electrician who has captivated the nation with his innate artistry. He may have money and popularity, but he also has a past as Song Seo-in (played by Chu Young-woo), the eldest son of the prestigious Song family. The story of Cheon Seung-hui, who went from being the envy of everyone to a glamorous and free-spirited entertainer, attracts attention.
In this way, both of them are living while hiding their identities. As we wonder how these people, with different birthdates and current lives, came to be intertwined, the fake love between Ok Tae-young and Cheon Seung-hwi, whose feelings for each other are real in this theatrical life, is anticipated.
The released photos contain a touching moment of the two people, like a painting. Not only do they create a hazy and desperate atmosphere when they look at the same place or face each other, but even their bickering moments are filled with a strange joy.
On the outside, they appear to be Ok Tae-young and Cheon Seung-hwi, but when they are together, they take off their masks of survival and reveal their true faces, making their special relationship stand out even more. Attention is being paid to what kind of results their growing love will bring amidst the dangerous fraud.
‘Madam Ok‘s Story’ will first air at 10:30 p.m. on the 30th.
