In ‘Face Me’, Lee Min-ki showed a colorful character play that brought about joy and sorrow.

In the second episode of KBS2‘s Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Face Me’ (directed by Jo Rok-hwan/written by Hwang Ye-jin) aired on the 7th, Cha Jung-woo (played by Lee Min-ki)’s tough exterior but gentle interior while treating patients made viewers laugh and cry.

The episode that day depicted the stories of those who had no choice but to get plastic surgery due to an unexpected accident. Seok-hoon made a decision to resolve the case of Nam Ki-taek (played by Park Wan-gyu), the guardian of a patient who was refused treatment and ended up taking his own life. He announced in front of reporters that Jung-woo would perform plastic surgery on crime victims as part of his social contribution activities, and Jung-woo, who attended the press conference without knowing what was going on, couldn‘t help but be flustered.

When Jung-woo’s friend and fellow doctor Han Woo-jin (played by Lee Yi-kyung) found out about this, he reacted incredulously, and Jung-woo made everyone laugh by showing off his cheerful tiki-taka, unlike when he was in front of his patients. The chemistry between Jung-woo and CEO Kim Seok-hoon (played by Jeon Bae-soo) also caught people‘s attention. The scene where Jung-woo and CEO Kim argue about creating an issue by having a surgical patient was also a point of laughter.

We were able to catch a glimpse of a different side of Jung-woo, who is usually firm and cool in front of his patients. PC room part-timer Yoon Min-soo (Park Joo-yeon) was sexually harassed by Park Dong-gun (Kim Jun-ho) and his girlfriend Lee Soo-bin (Ha Joo), and Min-soo, who suffered facial injuries during the incident, was treated at Jung-woo’s hospital.

While treating Min-soo, who was suspected of being a suspect, Jung-woo found out that she had breast surgery due to transsexualism, and he did not reveal this easily even in front of detective Lee Min-hyung (Han Ji-hyun) and wanted to hear the patient‘s story first. Jung-woo later judged that the inflammation in the surgical site had worsened and went into surgery to remove the breast implants. Min-hyung guessed that Min-soo had a story he could not tell to hide it, and concluded that he might not be the perpetrator.

Then, Jung-woo and Min-hyung’s cooperation, which was not cooperation, unfolded. Jung-woo estimated the height of the person who wielded the weapon by looking at Min-soo‘s wounds and reported this clue to detective Seo Kang-ho (Lee Seung-woo). The fact that he, who had no interest in the patient’s story, stepped forward to help was an unexpected turn of events, giving a fresh shock.

At the end of the broadcast, suspicious circumstances surrounding Ki-taek‘s death were revealed, heightening the tension. A witness appeared, saying that he had seen a mysterious figure near Ki-taek’s house on the day he died, raising the possibility of murder. Min-hyung began to suspect, asking, “Why did they involve Dr. Cha Jung-woo in that death?” Furthermore, the figure chased after Jung-woo, and when he got out of the car for a moment, he rushed at him and made him stop breathing, raising curiosity about the next development.

In this way, the second episode of ‘Face Me’ portrayed the process of Jung-woo, who had been cold in front of his patients, gradually changing, leaving a deep aftertaste for viewers. In addition, Min-hyung‘s sharp side in solving the case stimulates the viewers’ dopamine, making it more fun to watch and increasing anticipation for the next episode.

‘Face Me’ airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 9:50 PM.
