‘The Fiery Priest 2’ actor Kim Sung-tae‘s acting is drawing attention.
In the new SBS Friday-Saturday drama ‘The Fiery Priest 2’ (written by Park Jae-beom, directed by Park Bo-ram, produced by Studio S, Big Ocean ENM, Red Nine Pictures, and Gilstory ENT), Kim Sung-tae left a strong impact by playing an arrogant drug offender.
In the first episode that aired on the 8th (Friday), Kim In-seok, the son of New Era Unification Party leader Kim Man-cheon, appeared in a flashy red sports car and drew attention. Soon after, In-seok shocked viewers by asking the detectives, “Would you like some Hwangdo?” while showing a creepy smile while heavily intoxicated and covered in blood at a club.
When he then confronted Nam Du-heon (Seo Hyun-woo), the chief prosecutor of the Busan Southern District Prosecutors’ Office‘s Violent Crimes Investigation Department, in the interrogation room, he still wasn’t fully sober and said, “Oh, a prosecutor is coming in? I‘m calling someone higher up,” and when asked about the people who were hurt because of him, he consistently showed an arrogant attitude rather than reflecting, saying, “Is there anyone dead?”, which made people angry.
In this “The Fiery Priest 2,” Kim Sung-tae perfectly portrayed a despicable drug criminal without an ounce of guilt, and although it was short, he greatly increased the immersion of the drama, showing off his scene-stealing performance. Accordingly, attention is focused on Kim Sung-tae’s next move.
Meanwhile, ‘The Fiery Priest 2’, starring Kim Sung-tae, is an investigative drama about a passionate priest with anger management issues, Kim Hae-il (played by Kim Nam-gil), who is a priest during the day and the boss of the Angels‘ faction for ‘Bellato’ at night, and who leaves for Busan to fight the country’s biggest drug cartel. It airs every Friday and Saturday at 10 p.m.
