Go Soo said it‘s not a hero story.

On the afternoon of the 11th, an online production conference for tvN’s new Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Parole Judge Lee Han-shin’ (directed by Yoon Sang-ho, written by Park Chi-hyung) was held. Go Soo, Kwon Yu-ri, Baek Ji-won, Lee Hak-joo, and director Yoon Sang-ho attended the event.

Director Yoon Sang-ho said, “It‘s definitely a fun and refreshing work about beating up bad guys. To use a metaphor, it’s like a fight between David and Goliath. David is a shepherd boy, and Goliath is a giant general. It‘s a story about David defeating Goliath with a single stone. ‘Parole Judge Lee Han-shin’ is a story about us, ordinary people like small pebbles, who can break even large rocks,” he said in the introduction of the work.

Go Soo said, “The only way for prisoners to be released before their sentences is through parole. The person who conducts the parole review is a parole judge. I looked into the job before the work, and morality and integrity are important. There is a confidentiality clause, but it is not shown in the work.” He added, “This work focuses on the story. It deals with the story and circumstances of a prisoner who wants to be paroled. It does not focus on the character or person. Lee Han-shin is not a hero. He is not perfect like a human. He has been compared to David, so please watch how Lee Han-shin fights the big Goliath.”


Go Soo said, “The approach is different from previous works. Lee Han-shin does things in his own unique way. It’s difficult to solve things alone in reality, so he asks for help from people around him. He is a character who receives a lot of help through cooperation,” he explained.

‘Parole Judge Lee Han-shin’ is a work that depicts the thrilling and ironclad defense of lawyer Lee Han-shin (played by Go Soo), who becomes a ‘Parole Judge’, the final judge of prisoners who stop people with bad conscience. It is the winner of the 1st KT Studio Genie Series Contest. Director Yoon Sang-ho, who directed the dramas ‘Curtain Call’, ‘The Jinx‘s Lover’, ‘River Where the Moon Rises’, ‘The Wind, the Clouds, and the Rain’, will be directing.

‘Parole Judge Lee Han-shin’ will premiere at 8:50 p.m. on the 18th.
