Hwang In-yeop is gaining attention for his ‘Straightforward First Love’.

In the JTBC Wednesday drama ‘Prefabricated Family’ (written by Hong Si-young and directed by Kim Seung-ho), Kim San-ha (played by Hwang In-yeop) confesses his feelings to Yoon Joo-won (played by Jung Chae-yeon) after 10 years, adding fun to the latter half of the story. Accordingly, the production team summarized Kim San-ha‘s ‘First Love Defender’.

According to the production team, Kim San-ha grew up as one family with Yoon Joo-won and Kang Hae-joon (played by Bae Hyun-sung) from the moment his mother Kwon Jung-hee (played by Kim Hye-eun) passed away and he was left with his father Kim Dae-wook (played by Choi Moo-sung) at the Oryun Mansion, but his attitude toward the two was very different. In the same situation, he was particularly weak-hearted and always worried in front of Yoon Joo-won.

When the incident of him falling into the school pond broke out, Kim San-ha put aside his own work and rushed to him with his gym uniform in case he caught a cold. When he was misunderstood for pushing Do Hee-joo (played by Ha Seo-yoon) in front of the whole school, he took the lead in defending Yoon Joo-won and quickly resolved the situation. He showed himself to be a dependable older brother by saving Yoon Joo-won from difficult situations, but sometimes he lost his composure and showed an unintentionally clumsy side when it was related to Yoon Joo-won, which added to his freshness.

However, Kim San-ha drew a cold line to Yoon Joo-won, who wanted to be a real family. Kim San-ha’s words, “We are not family,” showed his specialness in thinking of Yoon Joo-won as more than just family, but it ended up hurting Yoon Joo-won. “Once you confess, you can‘t go back to before you confessed,” Just like Park Dal (Seo Ji Hye) said, Kim San Ha also couldn’t easily reveal his feelings for fear of his relationship with Yoon Joo Won going wrong, which made people feel sorry for him.

In such a situation, his sincerity that bursts out at some point without being able to hide it doubled the excitement. When Yoon Joo Won felt frustrated with Kang Hae Joon who didn‘t notice Park Dal’s feelings, Kim San Ha subtly showed that he didn‘t know his feelings by saying, “You’re clueless too,”, and he caught everyone‘s attention by holding Yoon Joo Won who had collapsed on him in his arms and staring at his face helplessly.


After that, 10 years have passed since the unexpected breakup, Kim San Ha returned to Haedong where Yoon Joo Won is. He checked up on Joo-won’s relationship status by questioning Lee Jun-ho (played by Yoon Sang-hyun), a classmate of Joo-won who works at the same hospital, and tried to express his feelings in his own way, such as putting off emergency calls to spend more time with Joo-won.

More than anything, Kim San-ha‘s confession, where he intercepts Joo-won, who is about to go on a date with another man, and says, “I like you, it took me 10 years to tell you,” fired the starting signal for a full-fledged romance. Just as he had promised Yoon Joo-won 10 years ago, “If you come back, I won’t leave you again,” attention is focused on whether Kim San-ha will be able to stay by her side and bring his long-standing unrequited love to fruition.
