Why does Go Soo have to become a parole officer?

The new tvN Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Parole Officer Lee Han Shin’ (directed by Yoon Sang Ho, written by Park Chi Hyung), which will be aired for the first time on the 18th, depicts the thrilling, ironclad defense of lawyer Lee Han Shin (played by Go Soo), who becomes the final judge of prisoners and a ‘parole officer’ who stops people with bad conscience.

The preview for Episode 1, released on the 12th, shows Lee Han Shin trying hard to become a ‘parole officer’. In the video, Lee Han Shin volunteers to be a butler lawyer to catch the eye of Ji Dong Man (played by Song Young Chang), the chairman of the top company in the drama, Oh Jung Group. He appears, introducing himself as “Attorney Lee Han-shin,” and puts on a show in front of Chairman Ji Dong-man wearing a sparkly outfit, and tries to please him excessively by mixing his bibimbap for him.

Then, a voice is heard saying, “How could you stick with Chairman Ji Dong-man? Are we going to let go a guy who threatens people‘s lives?” Along with this, an image of Lee Han-shin from his time as a prison guard is shown. Lee Han-shin blankly watches as someone is dragged away, and waves his “parole certificate” and says, “I told you, didn’t I? As Ji Dong-man‘s son, Jimyeong-seop (played by Lee Hak-joo), leisurely passes by Lee Han-shin, saying, ”I can’t stop it,“ the spotlight is turned on, implying that Lee Han-shin has had a bad relationship with the Ojeong Group since his days as a prison guard.


The screen changes back to the present day Lee Han-shin, and he asks Chairman Ji Dong-man, ”Please make me a parole officer.“ Ji Dong-man, not knowing anything, asks Han-shin, ”Who is the inmate you really want to prevent from being released on parole?“ This hints at the fierce competition between Lee Han-shin and the sons of Oh Jung Group, Ji Dong-man and Ji Myeong-seop, who will become entangled in the future.

The production team said, ”Episode 1 will depict the reason why Lee Han-shin wanted to become a parole officer and his extraordinary efforts to achieve it,“ and added, ”Please look forward to the first episode of ‘Lee Han-shin’, which will show why he wants to use the ‘parole system’ and what kind of person Lee Han-shin is willing to do to achieve his goal.“

‘Parole Officer Lee Han-shin’ will air for the first time on Monday the 18th at 8:50 PM.
