Kim Nam-gil‘s ‘Wild Walk’ from Production to Donation

He returned after 5 years through the new SBS Friday-Saturday drama ‘The Fiery Priest 2’, which is currently airing.
Season 2 depicts the story that unfolds as Kim Hae-il, a ‘fied’ priest with a hot-tempered personality and a strong sense of justice, goes to Busan to chase after a drug case. During the day, he acts as a priest, and at night, he is a ‘hero’ who eliminates ‘bad guys’.
In the first episode broadcast on the 8th, he cannot stand injustice, so when he sees criminals, he ‘punishes them’ with curses and violence.
The action acting that spares no body and Kim Nam-gil‘s unique comedic acting combined to record 11.9% (Nielsen Korea) in the first episode.
At a recent production conference, Kim Nam-gil expressed strong confidence in the drama’s success, saying, “I think ‘I‘ll be the only one who wins the grand prize (winner) at the drama awards ceremony held at the end of the year.’
He is also listed as a producer for this season. He participated in the co-production through Gilstory Entertainment, which he founded in 2015.
The movie ‘How to Open the Door’, which he produced as a producer, is also scheduled to be released on the 22nd.
‘How to Open a Door’ is a short film made to support young people preparing for independence. In the film starring newcomer Chae Seo-eun, Kim Nam-gil makes a surprise appearance to lend his support.
He also rolled up his sleeves to help youth in crisis. He also donates through the non-profit organization ‘Gilstory’, which he founded in 2012.
He will be holding the ‘2024 SMG Show - The Strongest Show in the Universe’ at Kyunghee University’s Peace Hall in Seoul on December 7th and 8th.
This event, which is in its third year, is a ‘donation project where you can donate while enjoying a performance’, and under the title ‘Actorcon’, Kim Nam-gil and his close friends, actors, will participate in donating their talents.
