75-year-old Im Hyuk, arm muscles as good as those of a 20-year-old “550 push-ups a day”
Lim Hyuk recalls his first ‘romantic’ meeting with his wife “We met at a company dinner after a play... She was ‘as pretty as a flower”
Actor Lim Hyuk will appear on ‘Perfect Life’ with his wife and reveal their sweet everyday life.
Lim Hyuk, who has been an actor for 55 years, will appear on TV CHOSUN‘s ‘Perfect Life’, which airs today (the 13th) at 8 PM.
Ji-ho Oh then asked how the couple with extraordinary visuals met. Then Hyuk Lim said, “My wife and I met at a company dinner after a play in the past.” When Hyun-young asked, “Did you fall in love at first sight?”, Hyuk Lim playfully confessed his true feelings, saying, “It wasn’t to the point of falling in love(?),” but conveyed his exciting first impression by saying, “His expression was bright, and his smile was as pretty as a flower.”
When Seong-mi Lee heard this, she said to Hyuk Lim‘s wife, “I’m really curious about what your first impression was when you saw a handsome man.”, the wife said, “He caught my eye right away,” and recalled that time. She then said, “My husband disappeared with the wind after a while. Then, he came holding expensive squid and soda in both hands and gave them to me,” making people envious of the romantic moment.
The two, who have been married for 41 years, will reveal their daily lives in their country home on today’s broadcast. Lim Hyuk, who was mowing the lawn with a weeder, surprised the guests by placing chairs on either side of him in the yard and starting to do push-ups. He did 550 push-ups and a whopping 100 squats, surprising everyone by revealing his arm muscles that were no less than those of an athlete in his 20s, even at the age of 75.
When Lim Hyuk finished working out and someone called him, “Hey, Mom!”, Oh Ji-ho asked curiously, “Is your son married?” When it was soon revealed that he was calling his wife, the guests couldn’t hide their embarrassment. Lim Hyuk said, “I lived with my parents when I was young. Under that, the children (my husband and I) didn‘t dare to say the word ’honey‘. As I tried to express myself, I ended up saying ’Amiya‘, and that became a habit,“ he said, revealing the story behind the title. It is said that Im Hyuk’s wife also conveyed her consistent love, saying, ”Still, I like it (when people call me ‘Amiya’).“
