Actor Woo Do-hwan talked about his deficiencies.
On the morning of the 13th, Woo Do-hwan met with Donga.com for an interview for the Netflix series ‘Mr. Plankton’ at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, and talked about the work.
On this day, Woo Do-hwan talked about his ‘deficiencies, saying, “There are many. Deficiencies. There is a deficiency of wanting to live stably. I have to be in a different environment with too many people, and when I adapt, I have to let go. I pursue and desire stability. I think it is a life lacking stability. That is why there are definitely problems that come with it.”
He added, “There is also a deficiency of feeling like I have to show a new side of myself unconditionally while working. I can just do it, but there is also a deficiency of not wanting to hear that I am the same. There is also a deficiency of feeling like I have to become a better person and a good person.”
Woo Do-hwan said, “I thought I would do better if I lived regularly and did what I had to do. When I was young, I thought that was the answer. But after living my life, I realized that wasn‘t necessarily the answer. It’s just the method I chose, and I don‘t think it’s good to live strictly. If other people live differently and pursue what they want, I think that‘s also a good method.”
Regarding Lee Yu-mi’s earlier interview where she said that if she were fun, she would have chosen Oh Heung (played by Oh Jung-se) instead of Hae-jo (played by Woo Do-hwan), Woo Do-hwan said, “I understand so much. As a friend who shares the same profession as me as an actor, I can‘t meet a friend who I don’t know where they‘ll end up. In a way, I think the person I love is my home. I think it would be nice to have a space where I can feel secure, a space that feels like home when I’m with that person. I think Yoo-mi feels the same way.”
Meanwhile, ‘Mr. Plankton’, released on the 8th, is a romantic comedy about the world‘s most unlucky woman, ‘Jaemi (played by Lee Yoo-mi), who is forced to accompany ‘Hae-jo (played by Woo Do-hwan)’, a man who was accidentally born wrong, on his last journey in life.
Woo Do-hwan plays ‘Hae-jo’, who lives his life like a plankton floating through the world, but begins wandering after receiving shocking news that turns his life upside down.
