‘All-kill!’ Kim Tae-ri‘s ‘complete victory’.
She grabbed both viewership ratings and buzz through the leading role drama ‘Jeongnyeon’, which is based on a women’s national opera. Starting with ‘Mr. Sunshine’, following ‘Twenty-Five, Twenty-One’ ‘The Devil’, she once again showed off her ‘box office power’, breaking various indicators.
Kim Tae-ri, who played the title role of genius singer Yoon Jeong-nyeon and portrayed the pain of ‘spitting blood’, raised the viewership ratings to 14.1% (Nielsen Korea), her highest ever, in the broadcast on the 10th.
After starting at 4% on the 2nd of last month, it rose by more than 10%. This is also the highest viewership rating among mini-series aired last week.
In the results of the second week of this month (4th-10th) announced by Kinolights, an integrated search platform for OTT content, ‘Jeongnyeon’ took first place in the integrated content rankings for the second week in a row.
This is the result of counting all works being released in Korea, including dramas and movies.
It also ranked first in the drama category for five consecutive weeks in a TV·OTT topicality survey. Kim Tae-ri also took first place in the cast topicality category for five consecutive weeks, followed by Jung Eun-chae and Shin Ye-eun, boasting enormous ripple effects.
The national musicals ‘Jamyunggo’ ‘Chunhyangjeon’ performed by Kim Tae-ri and Jung Eun-chae are also popular. Short-form videos that have shortened the corresponding portions have attracted attention by surpassing 10 million cumulative views in two weeks. It recorded the highest episode rating of 9.7 on the global content rating site IMDb.
With only two episodes left until the final episode on the 17th, Kim Tae-ri is going into a final spurt.
Kim Tae-ri, who recently suffered from the worst obstacle for a pansori singer, the so-called ‘tteokmok’ (a condition in which a person cannot sing high notes due to a husky voice), will show the process of challenging pansori again.
Gukgeuk, which has become another highlight of the drama, will also intensively portray female solidarity and narrative through the stage of ‘The Fool and the Princess’.
