‘Marry YOU’ Lee Yi-kyung “‘My Husband’ Park Min-hwan and polar opposite characters”
On Saturday, November 16th at 7:50 PM, Channel A‘s weekend drama ‘Marry YOU’ (written by Lina/directed by Hwang Kyung-sung/produced by Chorokbaem Media, One Entertainment) will premiere. ‘Marry YOU’ is a couple matching comedy family drama ‘between singlehood and marriage’, which contains the story of characters growing after realistic concerns about marriage. Ahead of the first broadcast, we asked the four main characters Lee Yi-kyung (as Bong Cheol-hee), Jo Soo-min (as Jung Ha-na), Koo Jun-hoe (as Choi Ki-joon), and Ji Yi-soo (as Oh In-ah) who will lead the drama what they think are the key points to watch for in ‘Marry You’.
First, Lee Yi-kyung said, “‘Marry You’ is a pure and harmless drama without any provocative content or villains. Since it is an episode format that develops with the keyword ‘marriage’, I think the viewers will be able to think along with it and empathize with it.” He chose the story that anyone, regardless of generation, can enjoy and relate to as the key point to watch for in ‘Marry You’. He continued, “Since my previous drama was a villain, I am excited to show a completely different side of myself as the character of Cheol-hee. I prepared so that you can feel both laughter and emotion, so please show lots of love,” he added, raising expectations for his new acting transformation.
Jo Soo-min foreshadowed that he would not miss the tension between the characters that changes as the drama progresses. He said, “It will be fun to watch while wondering how the chemistry between Ha-na and Cheol-hee and their relationship will change.” He continued by choosing the narration that perfectly captures the characters’ psychology as a point to watch. Jo Soo-min said, “There are many narrations that appear throughout the drama, and there were many lines that I could relate to while acting. I think it would be good if you also listen to my narration.”
Koo Jun-hoe said, “I am honored to be able to greet you with such a cheerful production. It is a drama that all viewers can enjoy without feeling burdened. I hope you enjoy the chemistry between our actors in the drama together,” he said. Also, Koo Jun-hoe said, “Please look forward to Lee Yi-kyung’s dialect and comedic acting,” and chose Lee Yi-kyung’s dialect acting as the charm of the drama.
Ji Yi-soo also asked people to keep an eye out for the comedic elements of ‘Marry YOU’ and the colorful episodes that will unfold in each episode. He continued, “I hope you will follow the emotional line of In-ah, who meets her fateful love and goes forward, and watch together to see how that love will progress. I hope the warm heart that I felt while filming will be conveyed to the viewers as well.” The warm and exciting emotions that fill ‘Marry YOU’ are expected to captivate viewers at home.
Meanwhile, Channel A’s new Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Marry YOU’ is a comedic family drama about a couple matching between single and married couples, about single civil servant ‘Jung Ha-na’ who struggles to get island bachelor ‘Bong Cheol-hee’ married in order to escape the marriage fraud team. It will be first aired on Channel A on Saturday, November 16 at 7:50 PM.
