Singer Heo Yoon-jung revealed the reason she took on her ex-husband‘s debt.

In a preview video released by MBN’s ‘Sokpuli Show Dongchimi’, Heo Yoon-jung recalled her meeting with her ex-husband, saying, “I worked a lot in Gangnam. I worked at 7 or 8 places, and he was the owner of the places. He was 180 cm tall and very handsome. I felt like there would be a lot of women there.” “He wasn‘t bad. He kept hitting on me. When I said I didn’t have time, he asked if I could have a cup of tea. I kept asking when I had time, and I got curious. It seemed nice that he was taking care of his mother. I got married in a hurry,” she said, explaining why she got married.

Heo Yoon-jung, who retired due to pregnancy at the same time as her marriage, added, “I paid (the liquidated damages) to each place, and when I went to 7 or 8 places, this person paid them all. It was because I had a lot of money.”

However, a crisis came not long after. He continued, “I had another child a year later. I was busy raising the kids, but this person came home once a month. He worked at a business. He must have been sleeping in the office during the day or not (at home).”

He continued, “I thought I would live happily with my husband if I got married, but I thought this wasn‘t married life. I felt skeptical. Then, since I couldn’t go on a honeymoon, I stopped by Canada and brought it to the US. (My ex-husband) was gambling in Las Vegas. He couldn‘t control his money. He earned so much that he didn’t know where to spend it.” He said, “When people earn a lot of money, they should spend it systematically, but he didn‘t care at all,” surprising everyone.

He also said, “This person didn’t feel guilty even if he squandered it. If it continues for 5~6 years, won‘t your assets decrease? How can you have anything left? If your business fails, you squander it again. Then you end up borrowing money from acquaintances. Your house is also subject to foreclosure. “I was so upset when a red tag was put on my house,” she confessed.

She said, “I was holding out to live on, but I had no choice but to get a divorce by agreement. That’s because the house was transferred to someone else’s name and the debt could be passed on to me, so I did it.” She was furious, saying, “I later found out that I had taken out too many loans using the house as collateral. I had only given them the shell. I had to pay 2 million won a month in loan interest. They didn’t give me a house, they gave me luggage.”

Heo Yoon-jung started working at a restaurant because she was in a situation where she would be kicked out if she couldn’t pay the interest. She said, “I studied while washing dishes at a restaurant and got a caregiver’s license. I worked as a caregiver at a university hospital. My kids were in middle school at the time, so I needed a lot of money. I did everything I could without trying anything. I didn’t have time to get depressed. I worked every time I opened my eyes.”
