‘Check In Hanyang’ The second teaser video containing the comical growth romance of the Joseon youth quartet Bae In-hyeok, Kim Ji-eun, Jung Gun-joo, and Park Jae-chan has been released, attracting attention.
Channel A‘s new Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Check In Hanyang’ (written by Park Hyun-jin/directed by Myung Hyun-woo/joint production and investment by PONY CANYON) will first air on Saturday, December 21 at 7:50 PM. ‘Check In Hanyang’ is a turbulent growth romance historical drama that tells the story of Joseon’s largest inn ‘Yongcheonru’, which has the arrogant motto, ‘The customer is king’, and the Joseon youth who join the place as educational servants.
In the meantime, the second teaser for ‘Check In Hanyang’ was released on November 14. The four Joseon youths Bae In-hyeok (Lee Eun-ho/Lee Eun, Prince Muyeong), Kim Ji-eun (Hong Deok-soo), Jeong Geon-ju (Chun Jun-hwa), and Park Jae-chan (Go Soo-ra) competing, cooperating, and growing in Yongcheonru, which is full of extraordinary and splendid things to see, have been depicted, raising expectations for the main broadcast.
The released second teaser video begins with Hong Deok-soo‘s (Kim Ji-eun) narration, “Yongcheonru, another palace built across from the king’s palace.” The sight of Yongcheonru, which is splendid enough to put the palace to shame, and the top-notch services provided there capture the attention of viewers. The servants dress the guests in the king‘s robes, and Hong Deok-soo’s comment, “In Yongcheonru, the best inn in Joseon, located in a place where dragons stay, the guest is king,” shows that Yongcheonru really does treat its guests like kings.
The screen changes with the sound of someone slamming the table. The main character who made the sound is Prince Muyeong-gun Lee Eun (played by Bae In-hyeok), who has lied about his identity and entered Yongcheonru as an education servant under the name of Lee Eun-ho. Everyone around him looks at him strangely as he solemnly shouts, “Do you dare to impersonate the king and want to die?” Amidst the other servants‘ murmur, Hong Deok-soo shakes his head and says, “Let’s not get involved,” causing laughter.
Then, the full-fledged hotelier life of the education servants who entered Yongcheonru, the best inn in Joseon, is depicted. But for some reason, Lee Eun-ho, Hong Deok-soo, Cheon Jun-hwa (played by Jung Gun-joo), and Go Soo-ra (played by Park Jae-chan) start a fight and cause a commotion from the beginning. In response, Bang Sun-soo (played by Kim Yoon-bae), who is in charge of education, mercilessly punishes them by saying, “You four have penalty points.”
The four people do not give in to the penalty points and shout, “Haona!” The copy that appears at the same time, “The Wise Hotelier Life of the Joseon Youth Haona Four,” foreshadows that they will be called the “Haona Four” in Yongcheonru in the future. Here, Chun Jun-hwa‘s comment, “Since we’re in the same boat anyway, shouldn‘t we weather this storm together?” makes us anticipate that they will grow together while going through trials.
Above all, it hints that Hong Deok-soo, a woman who entered the dormitory of the male-only training officers disguised as a man, will not have an easy day. Hong Deok-soo’s bewildered expression, bundled up alone while the other officers are bathing or having a heated game with their upper bodies off, arouses curiosity about how he will survive here.
Also, Lee Eun-ho and Hong Deok-soo‘s underwater kiss is briefly shown at the end of the video, raising curiosity about the romance that the two will portray. Lastly, the teaser video ends with the four people happily doing laundry together, making viewers look forward to the coming-of-age story of Joseon youth that will unfold at Yongcheonru.
The second teaser for ‘Check-In Hanyang’ not only captured the splendid sights of Yongcheonru, a luxurious inn in Joseon that was more splendid than the palace, but also stimulated viewers’ expectations by impactfully depicting the turbulent lives of the ‘Haona Quartet’ Above all, the romance between Prince Lee Eun-ho, who enters Yongcheonru, where there are people who lie about their identities and pretend to be kings, and Hong Deok-soo, a woman who hides her gender and begins to live as an educational servant with men, has slightly opened up, raising interest.
Meanwhile, Channel A‘s new drama ‘Check In Hanyang’, which is expected to provide diverse fun with a unique worldview, the story of youth’s ups and downs, and a unique romance, is scheduled to premiere on Saturday, December 21 at 7:50 PM, and will be exclusively available on Lemino in Japan.
