Actress Han Groo has expressed her special affection for KBS2‘s new daily drama ‘Cinderella Game’.
‘Cinderella Game’ (written by Oh Sang-hee / directed by Lee Hyun-kyung), scheduled to premiere on Monday, December 2, is a story about a woman who was used as a fake daughter by her enemy and became the incarnation of revenge, growing and healing as she realizes the true meaning of revenge.
Han Groo meets viewers as Goo Ha-na, a passionate international guide and operator for Hyesung Tours. Hana, who is brimming with extreme vitality and a sense of responsibility, learns three languages to become the best operator in South Korea and lives fiercely day by day taking care of her two younger siblings, but becomes entangled with Hyesung Group due to one incident.
Amidst the attention focused on how Han Groo will portray the character of ‘Goo Hana’, who will transform from an icon of sacrifice to an incarnation of revenge, Han Groo revealed her determination to take on the project on the 15th (today).
First, about the reason she chose ‘Cinderella Game’, Han Groo said, “When I first read the script, I felt a lot of emotions. The script contained familiar and diverse emotions that we often feel in our lives, and I was attracted to it because it was a story without a complete villain.”
Han Groo chose perseverance, passion, and family as keywords to describe Goo Hana, and said, “Hana is a passionate character. She introduced her character as “a tenacity that doesn’t give up on anything, a passion to live hard no matter what, and a family that is the reason for everything.”
Han Groo said about the process of preparing for the character, “First, I thought about what Hana and Han Groo had in common, and then I looked into Hana’s life. I tried to look closely at the character.” She continued, “I focused on acting so that the viewers could understand Hana’s actions and cheer her on and understand her emotions.”
Han Groo also shared her thoughts on acting with the actors. “Just thinking about filming with the teachers I usually respect made me excited and happy, and the young actors were so passionate and hard-working that I was confident that it would be a good production.” She also expressed her warmth by saying, “The director is also detailed and considerate, so we are filming comfortably.”
Han Groo expressed the “Cinderella Game” as a butterfly. The reason was, “I root for Hana who will fly beautifully like a butterfly someday. I hope you will focus on the stories of all the characters appearing in the drama and watch with curiosity about the characters’ choices,” and did not leave out any key points to watch.
Lastly, Han Groo said to potential viewers, “I hope this will be a humane and warm work that viewers can cry and laugh with. Please give lots of support and love to ‘Cinderella Game’.”
‘Cinderella Game’ will premiere on Monday, December 2nd at 7:50 PM as the follow-up to ‘Scandal’.
