Actor Lee Ki-taek will be starring in the drama ‘Namib’.
Lee Ki-taek will be appearing in the Genie TV original drama ‘Namib’ (written by Eom Sung-min, directed by Han Sang-jae, Kang Min-goo, planned by KT Studio Genie, produced by SLL, and Studio Woo Young-soo), playing the role of Chris, a talented former agency trainee who fails to debut but ends up living a completely different life. He is expected to radiate a unique presence and charm.
‘Namib’ is a drama that tells the story of Kang Soo-hyun (played by Go Hyun-jung), a fired star producer, and Yoo Jin-woo (played by Ryeo Woon), a released long-term trainee, as they each work toward their own goals.
In the drama, Chris, played by Lee Ki-taek, is a dynamic character who ends up working as the manager of an entertainment establishment after being released from his agency. With his tall visuals and eerie eyes and voice, he is expected to increase the tension of the play while stimulating the curiosity of viewers by creating a suspicious atmosphere.
Lee Ki-taek expressed his feelings about appearing on the drama ahead of its airing, saying, “It’s an honor to work with the directors, writers, and great actors that I respect,” and added, “I will do my best to prepare so that I can show Chris’s hidden narrative and the emotions he feels between various characters.”
Lee Ki-taek has been steadily building his filmography by showing off his outstanding character digestion skills in various works such as KBS2’s ‘When Flowers Bloom, I Think of the Moon’ ‘Three Siblings Be Brave’, tvN’s ‘The Devil Judge’ ‘Shoot Me’, and web dramas ‘In Seoul Season 2’‘7-Day Romance 2’. In particular, in TV CHOSUN‘s ‘My Happy End’, which ended last year, he played the role of Yoon Teo, a younger man and a black knight with a single-minded devotion, making hearts flutter with his unwavering love for one woman and leaving a lasting impression.
Ki-taek Lee, who has left a strong impression on every work, is expected to bring some charm to his character in this drama.
The drama ‘Namib’ will first air on the ENA channel at 10 p.m. on December 23 and can also be viewed on Genie TV and Genie TV Mobile.
