The pure love story of Chu Young-woo, who will risk his life for Im Ji-yeon, unfolds.

The production team of JTBC‘s new Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Madam Ok’s Tale’ (written by Park Ji-sook, directed by Jin Hyeok) released the 5th teaser on the 21st, which allows a glimpse into the amazing chemistry between the fake Ok Tae-young (played by Im Ji-yeon) and the electrician Cheon Seung-hwi (played by Chu Young-woo), as well as their heartbreaking romance.

‘Madam Ok‘s Tale’ is a work that depicts the fierce survival fraud story of Ok Tae-young, a woman whose name, identity, and husband were all fake, and Cheon Seung-hwi, a detective who risked his life to protect her.

The released video shows Gu Deok-i (played by Im Ji-yeon), a slave who lives as a fake Ok Tae-young while hiding her identity, and Cheon Seung-hwi, who finds out about this. The meeting is contained. The sight of the two bickering makes people laugh, but for a moment, another side of Cheon Seung-hwi, who gathers all the women in the neighborhood and sings about his sky-high popularity, catches the eye.

He is a celestial electrician who has amassed both money and fame, but what is on his mind is Gu-deok. Every time the fake Ok Tae-young is in danger, he appears and jumps into the water without hesitation, and his desperate love is revealed in the way he fights together and stays by her side.


The fake Ok Tae-young firmly yet desperately begs him, saying, “Please don’t risk your life for me anymore,” but Cheon Seung-hwi ignores her and confesses that he is not afraid even if he cannot avoid death. In addition, the voice of Cheon Seung-hwi, who says calmly, “The few days I spent with you were the happiest of my life,” over the picture-perfect image of the two people laughing, joking, and having a happy time together, adds to the heartbreaking resonance.

In this way, Cheon Seung-hwi’s unfathomable love, to which he would gladly give his life for the fake Ok Tae-young, is already touching the hearts of many. Attention is being paid to what fate their desperate love for each other will face in the midst of the unprecedented fraud that shook Joseon.
